Experienced Chemist for Ethanol Distillation

Do you get energy from working with problem solving and optimizing process systems and are you motivated by leading the way when changes are needed? And are you ambitious with what you do and a distinctly 'can do' type of person? In this case, you can become our new colleague in PP Utility Support, where we are looking for an experienced supporter responsible for ethanol distillation.

About the Department
PP is part of Novo Nordisk's insulin production (DAPI), where we in Purification Plants (PP) supply purified insulin (Detemir, Degludec, Liraglutide and OG217) to finished products worldwide. PP Utility Support covers the 4 PP factories and is part of PP's Technical Support Department with a total of 58 employees. We are 11 in the team, which consists of operators, technicians and academics, and are characterized by being a self-driving and professionally strong team. Our goal is to ensure that the purified water and ethanol distillation facilities run optimally.

The job
Your responsibility is to ensure the operation of the ethanol distillation columns in the PP factories. This means that you follow up on operations and handle deviations, problem solving and optimization projects in cooperation with PP's support teams. Your responsibilities are a combination of solving problems in the facility, participating in projects and managing administrative tasks at the desk. The tasks on the plant are together with colleagues inside and outside the team, where you are often the one driving the process. You help ensure that the documentation is in place and prepare various production-related reports.

You are measured by your ability to handle deviations, projects and optimization cases as well as stabilize the uptime of the installations. You ensure your success by being a team player and showing enthusiasm for your role. In the team you manage to get others to follow your ideas and greatly contribute to a positive approach to the development and optimization of processes. Your experience and skill level determine the scope of tasks and responsibilities, making it a challenging job regardless of your experience. As it is a position with many stakeholders across the organization, you will have ample opportunity to lift your professionalism. You will work according to LEAN and GMP principles in all aspects of processes and workflows.

Qualifications
You have an academic natural science degree, for example as a chemical engineer or mechanical engineer. You have experience in the operation of distillation columns and, if necessary, purified water systems. You are familiar with GMP/ISO and LEAN. You write and speak both English and Danish. Throughout your career, you have shown that you are characterized by being a team player who can bring others to work with you.

You are motivated by being in a dynamic and developing environment where there is always a focus on improving both competences and processes. You take the lead and know the value of good data analysis and a systematic approach.

With your good overview, you have the ability to manage prioritization of your tasks, to ensure the team's and your own deliverables. Understanding safety in day-to-day operations and the processes you work with is a natural part of your work approach.
