We are looking for a highly dedicated and quality-minded laboratory technician with a cross-functional profile within upstream biochemical manufacturing and support of research and development activities.

We combine complex scientific areas such as nanotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, optics, and hardware and software engineering in developing the next generation of point-of-care testing.
The job and main responsibilities
We are looking for a full-time Laboratory Technician who will take responsibilities in the daily preparation of reagents and upstream intermediates and downstream QC testing to make sure that we meet our manufacturing deliverables and obtain reproducible, safe and high-quality products. Additionally, you will take part in supporting activities in our research and development activities.
You will become part of the Laboratory Team consisting of 6 highly dedicated and skilled laboratory technicians with several cross-functional tasks within research and development, process development and optimization, design transfer and biochemical manufacturing. The team is responsible for the daily upstream biochemical manufacturing and QC as well as maintenance and optimization of upstream biochemical processes and hence handling key elements of our diagnostic devices. In addition, the team also plays major roles in supporting the product development team whose focus is on integration of the biochemical reagents onto our diagnostics cartridges.
You will work closely with our competent senior scientists and project managers from development as well as our downstream cartridge manufacturing team to make sure that we always deliver products of high quality.

Your responsibilities:
- Work according to BluSense ISO13485 quality system
- Preparation of our upstream biochemical manufacturing and QC processes, including preparation of crucial upstream intermediate products such as buffers, magnetic particle solutions, controls and calibrators
- Support our downstream QC processes, including batch calibration and QC of our diagnostic test cartridge
- Support research and development projects by executing laboratory experiments outlined by senior scientists
- Handling of raw materials including QC and IGC-QC
- Execute laboratory work in Biochemistry and Biological Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) and 3 (BSL-3) laboratories
- Support the general operations in the laboratory in collaboration with the team
Qualifications

Specific qualifications and skills:
- Laboratory technician education (from professionshøjskole) or B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical engineering or similar
- Experience with biochemical manufacturing and process development is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Solid experience with standard biotech/biochemical laboratory techniques
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Skills and Abilities:
- Structured and with the ability to keep a clear overview
- Ability to organize and conduct your work under the supervision of senior employees
- Aptitude and passion to run repetitive protocols while constantly monitoring important details and assuring high quality
- Ability to understand and handle complex protocols and experiments
- Able to maintain focus in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues
- Positive attitude with the capacity to be a good team player
- Commitment to the team’s goal of providing outstanding high-quality products
