We are looking to hire Lab Technicians and Research Scientists (both MSc and PhD) with expertise in nucleic acids, RNA-biology, qPCR, digital PCR, protein quantification, eukaryotic cell culturing and imaging. Knowledge in the field of neurobiology or hepatobiology is a plus, but not a must.

You are self-going and passionate about lab-work, but also meticulous in report writing. You are fluent in spoken and written English. We have significant expertise present in our team, which allows for some introduction, but as we are a small team with big ambitions it is important that you bring your own expertise and knowhow to the table.

We are looking for energetic and open-minded people to join our team. We want team players who appreciates social interactions, but who is also able to work independently and structured in the lab. We are a small, but fast-growing team, and you will become an integral part of it from day one. Whether you are responsible for cell culturing, routine analyses, or setting up new molecular techniques, your individual input is indispensable.

About the company

The company is founded based on the broadly patented Blockmir technology. Blockmirs function as steric antisense blockers of miRNA binding sites on mRNAs. By doing so, Blockmirs can upregulate protein expression with a high degree of target specificity. The technology has the potential to treat a wide variety of rare diseases, where conventional drug therapy is otherwise limited.

The daily work will be conducted in modern facilities at our brand-new company headquarters in the inspiring business area Tietgenbyen in the south part of Odense close to the University of Southern Denmark, where we currently reside.

Conditions of employment

The employment is set to 37 hours per week, however peak loads might occur. The employment period is limited to a period of two years with possibility of extension or change to a permanent contract. The employment will occur based on the Danish Act on Salaried Employees (“funktionærloven”). Salary is negotiated based on personal qualifications.

The positions are available from 1st of November 2021, after we have made the move to our new facilities.
