The aim of the Epidemiology Graduate Programme is to give you extensive exposure to the role as an Epidemiologist with a strong focus on competencies such as scientific and analytical skills, communication and project management skills.

About the Epidemiology graduate programme
The two-year programme consists of three rotations in different parts of the Global Development organisation or areas which strong ties to Global Development and Epidemiology. You will be given a broad range of responsibilities and experience a variety of tasks from cross-departmental project work, stakeholder management and have assignments within pharmaco- and classical epidemiology, including input to study designs and analytical methods, literature research and analyses based on real world data.

You will get a unique insight into the full global development value chain of Novo Nordisk, and you will be part of a highly skilled and motivated international working environment, with dynamic teams, each of which are providing Novo Nordisk with a competitive edge.

You will enjoy the privilege of being part of both formal and informal graduate networks which will allow you to broaden your learning’s even further, while building your opportunities and relationships across the company.

The position

During the 2-year programme you will undertake three challenging and exciting international rotations of 8-months duration.

The first rotation is planned to take place within Epidemiology, a department in Real World Data & Science in our corporate headquarter in Denmark. The main purpose of this rotation is an introduction to the epidemiological areas of responsibilities, and to gain an understanding of drug development and the role epidemiology and RWD play.

The second rotation is planned to be in an affiliate outside of Denmark. This is the rotation where the graduate will get insight into evidence needs and epidemiological work from a local perspective.

The third rotation will take place within a department with strong ties to Epidemiology in headquarters, Denmark. During this final rotation the graduate will work more independently and will probably take up roles that will challenge the graduate within adjacent areas in drug development, however still with a focus on epidemiology and evidence creation.

Qualifications

To apply for the Epidemiology graduate programme, you must have:

  • A relevant master’s degree or PhD from 2019 or 2020, and above average academic achievements
  • A solid background within epidemiology and a high level of understanding of practical epidemiological and pharmaco-epidemiological problems
  • International experience, for example from studying a full semester abroad, working or volunteering
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  • International outlook and ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Team-player, excellent communication skills, high drive and an eagerness to learn
  • Professional fluency in English and globally mobile
