The Job
We are currently seeking teachers to deliver modules and workshops on academic writing, supporting skills, and employability, as well as to serve as Academic Practice Officers. The preferred start date for this position is November 1st, 2024, or as soon as possible.
The role
The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching non-credit Academic Workshop modules, instructing students in soft skills, conducting orientation week sessions, and designing and delivering various ad-hoc academic support activities. Additionally, the candidates will join the Academic Integrity team, where they will investigate allegations of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, cheating, and falsification of academic records. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of theoretical perspectives in these areas, complemented by practical experience with empirically supported "real-world" models. Expertise in cross-cultural pedagogy and experience in managing academic integrity issues will be advantageous.
The Requirements for the Position:
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
A relevant master’s degree as the minimum requirement, though a Ph.D. is preferred.
Exceptional English language skills, both spoken and written (Danish is not required). Note that proficiency in English must be at a high academic level, suitable for teaching in an academic setting.
Relevant college-level teaching experience; research experience is an advantage.
Experience in administering courses in a hybrid online/onsite format.
Strong IT skills, including the ability to develop and test online course materials.
Proactivity, curiosity, and independence.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player.
A talent for cultural understanding and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues and students from Europe, Asia, and around the world.
Danish work and residence permit, if applicable.
Employment
Employment will be secured as per collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the AC trade union.
