Copenhagen Business College (CBC) Niels Brock is seeking a full- and/or part-time faculty member to teach in its DMU Programmes as well as in the American BSc Programme in Business Administration.
The Job
CBC is recruiting a Finance and Accounting, Economics and Hospitality Management tutor pr. 01/09/2019, or earlier, to teach undergraduate modules on both the DMU Programmes as well as the American BSc Programme in Business Administration. The level of employment is 75% of a full-time employment.
Job Profile
The tutor may cover a verity of modules within Accounting and Finance, Economics, Project Management and various modules within Hospitality and related business issues.
Examples of modules are:
Modules are taught according to a fixed schedule and will generally be placed in the timespan Monday-Friday 8:00-17:00. However, some modules are taught in the evening until 20:30.
In addition to lecturing, general tutor functions also include marking, tutorial sessions, participation in relevant meetings as well as general communication with CBC/ De Montfort University students, colleagues and management. Strong communications skills are imperative.
Employment will be secured as per agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the AC trade union.

For more than 20 years, Niels Brock has offered a range of British university degrees in cooperation with De Montfort University, Leicester. We are currently offering BA (Hons) Business Administration, BSc (Hons) Business Studies; and MSc International Business and Management in collaboration with De Montfort University. In addition, in partnership with Middlesex University, we also offer a BA (Hons) International Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Finally, we also run a 4-year American BSc Programme in Business Administration.

- A master's degree, at a minimum, though a Ph.D. is preferred, either of which includes at least
- 36 ECTS or 18 US credit hours at the graduate level in Statistics;
- 36 ECTS or 18 US credit hours at the graduate level in Accounting; and/or
- 36 ECTS or 18 US credit hours at the graduate level in Finance
- The ability to speak and write English at mother tongue-level (Danish is not a requirement.) Note that conversational English capability differs from mastery of the language at a sufficiently high level to teach in an academic setting. This position demands exceptionally strong English language speaking and writing skills.
- Relevant college-level teaching experience; research experience is a plus
- Administering courses in a hybrid online/onsite format
- The desire to develop and test online course materials
- Danish work and residence permits
- A talent for cultural understanding and working cooperatively with a diverse group of colleagues and students from not only Europe and Asia but from all over the world.
