At Normal we sell completely Normal goods at abNormal prices. The range includes well-known branded products in e.g., skin care, hair care, dental care, shampoo, make-up and cleaning. In short: All the things that you cannot do without in your everyday life, and which ideally must not be missing from the shelves at home.
Normal is a Danish-owned retail chain. We opened the doors to the first store in Silkeborg in April 2013, and since then Normal has grown into a chain with more than 500 stores in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Finland, Portugal and Spain.
The huge increase in number of stores means that our GNFR (Goods Not For Resale) department is experiencing a massive increase in assignments. This is one of the reasons that we need YOU! If you continue reading from here, you will find out what the GNFR department do, and what a day of work looks like!
About the department:
The main task in our GNFR department is to make sure that all our new wonderful stores are being provided with the things they need in terms of giving the customer a good experience. GNFR is making sure that the stores have enough shelves, labels, specific Normal signs – the interior design of the shop! It is cool right?
Right now, the GNFR department consist of 9 workers + 1 team leader, so this makes GNFR one of the smallest departments at the moment. We are a mix and match like the rest of the warehouse, and we do have a good variety of women and men in the department, and we will keep focusing on this! We speak English every day, and currently we have around 43 different nationalities in the warehouse, maybe you will be number 44? (WE LOVE DIVERSITY)
As we are growing, we are currently looking for workers for the morning shift, BUT in time we will look for people for evening shift also. So, if you love working in the evening, then don’t hesitate to apply, because you may only need to workday time in a short period of time.
Your daily tasks will be:
You will “Always” start the morning with our usual team meeting, where we learn from each other, while talking about previous, present and future assignments. During the day you will together with you colleagues pick and pack pallets, who later gets transported to the shops, with items they have ordered. The way you are picking and packing the pallets are right now done through a scanner, and later you will do it by our Lydia system which is “Pick-By-Voice”. So, your IT skills does matter, and it is a plus if you have a good understanding of IT and how it works.
We are looking for people who have an adaptive mindset and a person who likes a flexible way of working. The reason for this, is because GNFR is helping all the other departments, when it’s needed, so you can experience a day where you will be sent to another department, and our wish is that you thrive in an environment like this. You can experience to help the Picking department, Inbound department, even Transport department (if you have the truck certificate), so your workday can differentiate a lot.
Right now we are ALSO looking for people to work in the evening shift! When working in evening shift, you will have to work in our working hours from monday to thursday 15.00 to 23.00. It is important for us to inform you, that you in the beginning will be working in the morning shift, and eventually will be moved to the evening shift. Please let us know in your application, if you want to work morning shift or evening shift.
Qualifications:
At Normal we base our culture on trust and dialogue and we expect you to be inclusive, trustworthy and cooperative.
It is an advantage if you have experience working in the field of logistics and have knowledge about warehouse operations. It is our hope that you will be flexible in terms of your work schedule, because in GNFR you can experience working in day or evening shift.
Place of employment:
You will be working at our warehouse North of Horsens in Gedved. We are in the process of building a new logistics center in Hedensted, where we will move to in 2023, where you eventually will have your daily workday.
