NORMAL is a young and dynamic Danish retail chain that opened its first store in April 2013. Since then, the chain has experienced rapid growth, opening more than 580 stores and establishing a strong presence in seven markets.The journey continues at full speed, and we are now looking for a skilled and motivated Internal Transport Manager to manage and optimise our internal transport operations at our warehouse.
At our warehouse “Internal Transport” refers to the systematic movement of goods, materials, or inventory within the facility. It encompasses the use of equipment like forklifts, roller conveyors, and automated systems to efficiently transfer items between storage areas, picking zones, and shipping docks. You will lead a department consisting of six or seven team leaders managing an expected total of +100 employees in future, covering three shifts.
Your responsibilities and tasks
As an Internal Transport Manager your most important job will be to ensure that your team leaders succeed in their daily tasks. In addition, you will be in charge of optimising the flow of goods and materials within our warehouse. You will work with people and team development, resource optimisation, and motivate your team to perform efficient internal logistics operations. Your role is pivotal in optimising processes, cutting costs, and upholding safety and compliance standards.

- Development of and sparring with team leaders
- Team alignment and performance across three shifts
- Proactive communication with team leaders, peer managers and logistics management
- Recruitment and onboarding
Management:
- Manage internal transport budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- KPIs and analytics in corporation with our analytical team
- Enforcing safety protocols
Operations:
- Overall responsible for operations and internal transport
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate timely movement of materials and products
- Development of the internal transport function
- Optimising processes
About you
To succeed as our new Internal Transport Manager, it is important that you embody humility, recognising the value of learning from others and fostering a cooperative work environment. To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:
- have no less than 2-3 years of experience in leading mid-level managers and larger teams;
- preferably have experience in leading nightshift teams;
- are able to communicate effortlessly in Danish and English, in writing as well as orally;
- have experience from a logistics / transport / production or warehouse set-up; and
- have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
