Self-sufficient and proactive farm operator for GreenPeas A/S in Portugal
The Danish agricultural company, GreenPeas A/S is looking for a self-sufficient and independent working farmer to take care of the fields in Portugal for the production of fresh hand-picked peas.
The production is taking place in the South near the Atlantic Ocean in the area between Comporta and Odemira and managed by the subsidiary company of Greenpeas in Portugal
The production is carried out and controlled in multiple steps over the year, to have fresh peas available all the time, no matter the weather and soil condition.
The farm operator must manage and take care of the practical field operations in coordination with the agricultural engineer of Greenpeas. Furthermore, the farm operator must take care of the field equipment, including operation, maintenance, and repair, and participate in the harvesting season with transportation, technical support, etc.
You don´t need to know about pea production, but you have to have practical and professional knowledge about general field operations and crop processing. You are flexible and independent working, and you are able to make your own planning in accordance with the cultivation needs in a responsible way.
It´s a pioneer work and the production has to be set up and carried out in connection with the production in other countries, especially with the main production in Denmark.
Once a year, you have to be able to travel and work in Denmark or other countries for a short period to exchange experiences and to be aligned with the production concept of the company.
You possess the following skills
As a person, you are open-minded, proactive, and have a strong will to overcome and without limitation from traditional thinking. You also have a positive life approach and a tolerant and accepting view of human beings.
You will be a part of an international team of young farm operators, with a great opportunity to develop yourselves professionally as well as personally.
Gros salary is between 1500 – 3000 euro per month depending on your skills and the value you can create.

- Professional operating of most kinds of agricultural/horticultural equipment
- Flair for self-sufficient maintenance and repair
- Spraying certificate, forklift certificate, and truck driver license or willingness to take.
