The job

We are right now looking for a competent employee and colleague for our central Customer Quality Department. As a SQ Specialist at Espersen, your job will involve quality assurance and quality management activities related to our fish and seafood suppliers.

Your primary task will be managing specifications, approving suppliers and monitor their performance making sure that they comply with our requirements.
You will work in close cooperation with our Supply Chain (procurement and logistic), Marketing & Innovation and our production facilities. You will experience many concurrent tasks in an exciting and varied workday.

Further tasks include:

• Managing existing specifications (regularly review and update) and maintaining them in our Quality Management System
• Developing raw material specifications for new products and approving them
• Assuring that our suppliers comply with our requirements
• Aligning specifications between all sites in the Espersen group
• Assess, approve and monitor supplier performance according our Supplier Management Process
• Oversee supplier certifications and administer validity of their certificates
• Conducting and following up on supplier audits according the supplier management process and level of risk
• Handling complaints we have with incoming goods, incl. facilitating the dialogue with different production facilities and procurement
• Supporting procurement in consolidating our supplier base
• Ad hoc tasks

Your profile

To be successful in this position you must:

Your qualifications

We expect that you:

• Have a technical food related education at bachelor level or similar.
• Have, as a minimum, 3 years of experience from the food industry, preferably within seafood.
• Have solid experience in the role as sparring partner to both Supply Chain and NPD.
• Have gained strong experience within quality assurance and quality management with dedicated focus on supplier management and handling of specifications.
• Master the regulatory area and can document your experience.

If you have experience with auditing it will be an advantage, however, it is not a requirement.

Fluent in written and spoken English – and easily commit to an international business.

Have a documented knowledge of ERP systems.

Are at home in the Microsoft Office and used to PC as a working tool.

We offer a position in an exciting and international company with a high level of responsibility. The work place will be at our office in Frederica and you can expect tasks demanding overnight stays a.o. to our factories approx. 30 days a year.
