The Contract Logistics Excellence PMO supervises and leads strategic programs for Operations Excellence within the Global Contract Logistics (CL) to oversee the impacts and interdependencies between programs and working to ensure initiatives meet the goals and objectives of the CL leadership team.

Support Contract Logistics (CL) operations excellence programs where systems, processes, organization and technology are fundamentally changed to achieve measurable improvements in effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction. Your key responsibilities are:

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Define and build PMO

  • Appoint / recruit PMO resources based on agreed PMO model

  • Define and implement program org. structures

  • Define implementation methodology

  • Define communication strategy

  • Provide program status updates to STC, senior management and other stakeholders

  • Ensure alignment to CL strategy

  • Create working relationships with regional program managers

  • Facilitate governance process

  • Overall program risk management

  • Overall program budget control

  • Facilitate change control process

  • Strive to standardize and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects

  • Supplier management. Act as SPOC towards vendors commercial- and delivery managers

  • Track deliverables and benefit realization

  • Mentor project / program managers

  • Conducts QA review of program implementations

  • Provides implementation support


Required experience & skills

Technical skills:

  • Solid project / program manager skills

  • Large experience with WMS project delivery

  • Understanding of the project governance processes


Relevant experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience

  • Prince2 or PMP certified

  • Pragmatic and structured way of working


Business skills:

  • Knowledge of Maersk WND processes and complexity

  • Strong leadership

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Collaboration skills

  • Drive for continuous improvement

  • Commercial outlook

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
