Ballard Power Systems Europe can trace its roots back to 2004 in Skive when what would later become Ballard Power Systems Europe was separated into a division of a local business specialising in energy-efficient quality products for heating, cooling, and ventilation. In 2011, half of the company was acquired by Ballard Power Systems, a Canadian enterprise, which took over the rest of the business in 2016.

Ballard Power Systems Europe is currently an international organisation headquartered in Hobro. Can you ensure efficient and cost-effective deliveries?

As a Transport Coordinator, you report directly to the Supply Chain Manager, as you arrange efficient and cost-effective deliveries of all materials to company sites and customers, working closely with the local purchase department, global transport, procurement, and the company’s transport providers.

You ensure that all deliveries to different projects and customers are made on time as well as on budget. This entails making sure that all required documentation is produces correctly and that all charges are paid to suppliers on time.

To succeed, you work closely with colleagues across the organization, as meeting the ever-changing needs of the organization is a joint effort. You will be a port of a dynamic and fast-paced environment. It is therefore important that you can adapt to changes quickly. Moreover, a key part of your job is to ensure that transport providers deliver as required, by motivating them to achieve mutual success.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning deliveries in collaboration with the organization and planning backwards to ensure that the required deliveries are possible.
• Choosing transportation methods and transport providers based on reputation, price and need.
• Arranging and booking all necessary deliveries globally. This includes in- and outbound as well as cross trade shipments, preparing all necessary freight documents for export/import in different parts of the world.
• Ensuring transparency by filing all necessary freight documents, making delivery schedules available in report forms, SOP’s.
• KPI tracing, analysing, and identifying actions to improve, and secure implementations.
• Ad hoc tasks.

Who are you?

We are looking for a candidate with a couple of years of experience from a similar position. Experience from a major logistics function or forwarding company is preferred. Also, you may have a background as a transport coordinator or freight forwarder. More than that, we expect that:

• You have experience in the above tasks and an understanding of the challenges that arise when trading globally.
• You have experience in global order handling and issuing of certificates and are familiar with compliance regulations and customs rules globally as well as export control and sanctions.
• You know how to keep a sense of perspective in a deadline driven environment.
• You possess great drive and the desire to move things forward taking ownership in delivering good results even on a tight schedule.
• You thrive when handling several tasks at the same time while prioritizing your efforts optimally – always with a focus on how to create value for the business.
• You have a structured, systematic, and well-organized approach to your tasks.
• You are a team player who can spot possibilities for improvements and getting your energy from achieving team results.
• In addition to Danish, you have good command of written and spoken English and maybe other languages as well. You have flair for IT, are familiar with the Office suite, especially Excel, and possess knowledge of Dynamics AX.
