About NORMAL A/S
NORMAL is a Danish-owned retail chain. We opened the doors to the first store in Silkeborg in April 2013, and since then NORMAL has grown into a chain with more than 500 stores in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Finland, Portugal and Spain.
The huge increase in number of stores has also been putting a lot more work into our current warehouse, which means that we constantly need to improve and look into how we can do the operations in a more efficient and intelligent way. This is one of the reasons that we are looking for you to our department called Logistics Development Department.
About the Logistics Development Department:
The Logistics Development Department is where the future logistics of NORMAL are thought up, analyzed, and planned. Here warehouse activities and all of NORMAL’s transport needs are constantly revised and sought improved. In order to evolve further we are seeking to expand our team with a Logistics Analyst, that will add some serious data trawling capabilities to our team. Logistics Development is a smaller team of dedicated developers that are all an integral part of NORMAL’s explosive growth in the current seven markets.
In logistic development, we collaborate with production daily, and our most important purpose is to support their work, so that they get the best conditions to work efficiently and get all the goods quickly through the processes. Your analytical work will become an important part of the work we do and especially how we will do it in the future.
What do we expect from you?
Our desired scenario is that we find a candidate who is genuinely interested in data. Someone who has a flair for statistics and can discover hidden patterns and stories in large data sets. We are an unorthodox company where ideas are often tried and tested. In this job, you will find that it is very project-oriented, and you must therefore be able to run your own projects. You will of course get all the sparring and help you need, and you will never feel alone. It is important that you dare to ask questions, as we can all learn in this way. In addition, we would like you to have qualifications such as;
You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher within the fields of logistics, mathematics, statistical analysis, or similar.
Your job tasks will include but not be limited to, analysis of large data sets for improvement projects, translating performance data into tangible actions and assist in developing frameworks that will allow NORMAL to leverage our data even more. As this is a new position, you’ll be able to participate in the definition of the position and will have a team of bright analytical minds around you to help you get a great start.
Place of employment:
You will work at our warehouse north of Horsens in Gedved. We are in the process of building a new logistics center in Hedensted, where we will move to in the fall of 2023, where you eventually will have your daily workday. Around one day per week will be spent at our headquarters in Skanderborg.
Application and employment process:
We are moving fast to find the right candidate, who will have their first working day on 01-11-2023 or sooner if possible. We want to make sure that the right one is found so, we will have interviews until we’ve found the right match.
If you have any questions about the position or NORMAL in general, you are welcome to call our Logistics Development Manager – Brian Mogensen on +45 29 25 24 88 Monday to Friday.
