About Maersk Air Cargo

Owned completely by Maersk, established in 1987 and previously known as “Star Air”, MAC operates 19 ea B767-200/300 cargo airplanes.

We operate for UPS, DHL and Maersk and will in 2024 receive an additional 2 ea B777 freighters that will be added to the current Maersk operation out of Billund, Denmark The operation for UPS, which is currently the biggest, and is out of Cologne, Germany.

Opportunity

We are the support for the MAC operation with regards to aircraft spare parts, tool and the corresponding freight solutions. We strive to have the needed parts and tool ready for the aircrafts in time and on the right place. Beside that we also take care of repairs of the removed parts and the management and future composition of the pool of parts and tool owned by MAC.

About the role

• MAC has obtained an “end-use” license from the Danish authorities. This license gives the right to import aircraft parts duty and VAT free.
  
  
• This license demands us to register all imports of aircraft parts and record the installment of these on our aircrafts.
  
  
• Your job will be to do this registration in both a dedicated excel sheet and into our inventory system using the email import notifications from our forwarders in Copenhagen and Cologne.
  
  
• Beside that, reports to the Danish and German authorities must be made on the background of this data.
  
  
• Beside the above jobs, we hope there also will be time for you to help us with creating and registration of all the new parts we will receive for the new B777 operation in the beginning of 2024.
  
  
• The job will give you an insight in the challenges and daily routines of the part and tool logistics behind a modern and expanding airliner.
  
  

Work hours will be 15 hours a week inside normal working hours.

A minimum of 12 months of education left before graduation will be preferred.
