The role is responsible for driving Contract Logistics growth by effectively partnering with other departments to service the needs of existing and potential customers.

Key responsibilities


• Identifies local market opportunities for Contract logistics.
• Participates in evaluating and developing projects for contract logistics.
• Develop pipeline anchor customers for projects.
• Compiles first level business case for Business
• Development function prior to further project progression for contract logistics.
• Coordinates project planning in cooperation with requisite responsible functions.
• Provides local industry information and analysis to senior management.
• Maintains market awareness regarding market developments, supply/demand, pricing, competition etc.
• Contributes to, and where appropriate, drives the development of solutions to customer project / tender requirements.
• Develops recommendations for attractiveness of investments, proposals for negotiation processes and recommendations on business plan and budget
• Leads activities on smaller projects and provide support for larger ones
• May be responsible for maintenance and providing detailed overview of, local Project/Opportunity Pipeline
• May act independently of, or in support of, more senior business development employees, dependent project scope and size
• Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure that requirements are met.
• Identification of industry-specific logistics requirements and development of corresponding industry solutions in cooperation with internal departments
• Continuous expansion of in-depth industry know-how and its networking with logistics solutions to convey added value to potential customers
• Identifying and analyzing sales opportunities with customers with key account potential; leading contract negotiations and concluding framework agreements
• Creation of action and project plans as well as their implementation for defined potential customers
• Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, operations, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal, Finance, etc.), gather required input and coordinate actions
• Identify Maersk's value proposition and high-level solution parameters based on customer requirements

We are looking for


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
• Must have solid industry knowledge in contract logistics.
• Knowledge within Nordic logistic industry
• Strong business acumen and must have the ability in understanding and identifying new clients.
• Capable of working with delegation authority.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer engagement skills.
• Proven track record in owning and managing top customers.
• At least five years of professional experience in sales field service with key account management
• Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
• Excellent sales and acquisition skills
