VIKING owns more than 80 service stations all over the world. These are all part of our successful Shipowner Agreement concept (SOA). With an ambitious target on customer satisfaction, we need to ensure that the right safety products are available at the right service stations - at the right time. We are dedicated to make the process of service and exchange transactions as smooth as possible for the customer. As Team Lead SOA Logistics you and your team of 3 employees will have the daily responsibility to ensure VIKING’s global stock of liferafts – a cornerstone.
You will report to the Global Customer Logistics Manager and be a part of a department based in Esbjerg counting 13 dedicated colleagues, with 6 of them placed in Bulgaria.

Primary tasks and responsibilities
- Manage, support & guide the SOA Logistic Team in their daily tasks. These tasks include general logistic contact with service stations, ensuring that stock levels are as agreed and support of their daily business
- Support cross functional improvement/development initiatives
- Creating & maintaining policies, guidelines/instructions and communicate these internally and towards service stations
- Forecasting and making minimum stock calculations for 80+ service stations – including calculation models and development of these
- Ensure full logistics implementation for new VIKING service stations and partner stations
- NCR (Non-conformity report) handling and follow up
- Participate in cross functional projects within SOA – together with sales and service
- Follow up and support tasks provided by the Global Customer Logistics Manager
Who are you
- You come from a planning position where you have generated significant and positive results
- You have a solid planning mindset and can navigate complex processes and different setups (one size never fits all)
- You have a hands-on approach when needed and you are able to work in a very dynamic environment where decisions needs to be taken in order to move the business forward
- You have experience as a manager, and you appreciate the importance of motivating and developing your team
- You have ERP experience – preferable SAP
- In a truly global organization as ours, excellent spoken and written English and Danish is necessary
- On a personal level, you are a motivated team-player as well as resourceful, self-directed, ambitious and results-driven individual
