Georg Jensen is looking for a Head of Export to grow our business in expansion markets. We have an ambitious growth strategy in place and we’re now initiating the execution of this strategy.
We’re looking for an experienced commercial manager with strength to be operational, lead in a fast-paced market environment and not the least, with the ability to follow and execute on strategy. Experience within sales development of lifestyle, luxury or high-end consumer brands is mandatory for the role.
You will be part of a strong commercial team and have managerial responsibilities for 2-3 senior sales managers. The role is placed in the aesthetic HQ in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen and will report to the Commercial Director. Travel activity is expected.
Georg Jensen has a leading market position in the high-end Jewellery market and premium Home Product market with distribution to the best retailers in the market. We strive to protect our strong brand position to ensure our customers continue to be inspired by Georg Jensen products.

The role
You will be direct in charge of developing distribution and new market entries as well as operationally function as account manager for a set of already established retail distribution partnerships. The markets are global and what we refer to as 3rd party markets - meaning markets where Georg Jensen does not have a direct subsidiary. You will be leading a small team of export and travel retail managers to support the growth initiative. You will be part of Georg Jensen’s commercial organisation supported by trade marketing, visual merchandising & store design, supply chain, and customer service & sales support. The criteria for success in this position will be to establish a set of new retail partnership in key markets already in 2020, grow our already established 3rd party markets according to plan and deliver the financial objectives according to the Georg Jensen growth plan. Growth in new international markets is a key component of the company’s growth initiatives and therefore the role is pivotal and comes with high attention from senior management.

- Identifying and secure partnerships with new retail distribution partners
- Create operational go-to-market plans
- Operational account management of already established retail partnership (distributors and direct-to-dealers)
- Managing the export and travel retail team
- Create annual business plans for key markets and secure execution
- Full P&L responsibility
- Securing Georg Jensen brand adherence
- Planning of trade marketing in key markets
- Participation in trade fairs and customer events
Your Profile:
The right candidate must be leading with passion, goal orientated and most importantly, have the ability to ensure the supporting Georg Jensen teams follow the shared ambition. We need a team player with strong execution skills. You have several years of experience as a senior sales manager.

- Networker, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver results on time in collaboration with the team
- You need to be a growth driver
- You must be able to lead through your team and your peers, while securing that your stakeholders follow you towards a shared goal.
- A high-performing profile that does not give up when challenged
- Experienced from a similar position in an international branded setting. We prioritize applicants with experience from jewellery industry
- Good cultural understanding and experience in working together with other cultures
- Ability to work well under pressure and result oriented
- Proficient in English, strong communication skills in both written and oral
- Willingness to travel 60-80 days per year
- Highly skilled MS Office user, especially Excel
