About the department
As our new Supply Manager you will join the Device Manufacturing and Sourcing (DMS) Supply Chain department in Hillerød, where you will work in close collaboration with 55 colleagues who look forward to welcoming you. In DMS we ensure the supply of a large number of components produced world-wide to our global footprint of Novo Nordisk A/S factories and are responsible for the suppliers’ ability to deliver on time and in full, in the right quality and to the right cost.
The position
Your main responsibility is to manage the global supply chain on contract production of components for medical devices at suppliers. You will engage in close coordination with several external as well as internal stakeholders, such as Logistics, Quality, and Process Support, where you will act as the anchoring point and informal leader and ensure that the right activities are prioritised. You will be the point of entry between Novo Nordisk and the suppliers and will be responsible for the coordination of operational and tactical actions in collaboration with Logistics, Project Office, Strategic Sourcing, and Device Manufacturing Development.
The overall objective for the supply manager is to ensure stable and reliable supply while continuously improving the performance and collaboration with the supplier. You will challenge us in the way we do things, and through innovative ideas you assist in improving our processes in order to work smarter and secure the best possible result for Novo Nordisk. Main activities are driven out of DMS in Hillerød, while some travelling related to supplier visits are to be expected.
Qualifications
You hold an Engineering degree, MSc or similar and have 4-6 years of relevant experience with vendor management, managing supply chains and production. A solid business understanding and experience with KPI setting, board meetings, and the basic LEAN toolbox usage is an advantage, as is experience in communication with management and leadership experience.
You have a strong drive and you enjoy setting direction. You are able to prioritise your tasks and plan ahead. It motivates you to continuously look for ways to improve and optimise how we manage our supply chain. As you will be dealing with a lot of different stakeholders, internal as well as external, it is essential that you enjoy creating and maintaining relations within all levels of the organisation and that you have strong communication and negotiation skills. You are also skilled at presenting complex information and decision material in a simple and clear manner. You have proficiency in both written and spoken English.
