In August 2019 we opened our first physical store, and from there on our retail adventure took off. Now we have three stores; one in Roskilde, one in Aalborg and one in Odense - and we dare to say, more is coming. Which is why, we are now looking for an experienced Retail Operations Manager, who will drive and develop our retail operation.
So, what’s the plan?
Okay - so we’re reaching for the stars. With a goal of opening 10 stores in 2020, we’re about to get busy.
In creating the future retail-yarn-universe, we need to expand our existing retail team. You will, therefore, work closely with our Retail Manager, who mainly focuses on locating new store sites, building stores from the ground up, and securing the store concept and expression. Once the stores are ready for take-off, it will be your main task to secure their future success. That means, defining and following up on KPI’s, sales numbers and encounters, all while ensuring that our personnel is top-motivated and that our customer service is on point - always.
Our Customer Service is paramount to our success. Whether it’s online, over the phone or face to face, we strive to go that extra mile for our customers. Motivating and working with our retail-personnel in achieving that, will be one of your main priorities.
Most importantly, you’ll strive to make life better and easier for everyone working in our retail stores. Whether that’s optimizing processes and systems, developing and motivating our employees or helping out where help is needed - you’re the one.

What you’ll be doing
- Be responsible for our operational in-store procedures and processes - develop concept and strategies for being the future of retail
- Making sure that all our retail stores are running smoothly; that they are inviting and clean, plus filled with yarn and outstanding customer service
- Ensure the best work environment and continue to develop our strong culture within Hobbii and in all our retail stores
- Setting and ensuring that KPI’s, budgets, sales and revenue targets are reached and followed up upon with each Store Manager
- Participate in recruiting events, interviews and people development together with Hobbii’s People & Culture department.

- You’re a people person. You believe in optimistic leadership and you have great communications skills
- You take pride in people development and are able to inspire and motivate everyone around you
- You’re brave - This role demands the courage to envision the future of retail. Seeing beyond the next steps and vision the complexity that comes with changing and challenging the status quo
- You’re good with numbers, processes, and structures. Planning ahead and streamlining doesn't scare you
- You’re familiar with everything retail related - and whenever you’re shopping you notice those small things, which could be done better and more efficiently
- Fluency in Danish - though our Company language is English
