As Manager for the SCADA/Protection department, you will be responsible for a team comprised of highly specialised and experienced employees working with substation SCADA, control and high voltage protection solutions for offshore substations for wind farms. The team of approx. 18 people delivers concept design, engineering, specification, testing, site supervision and commissioning of electrical substation automation systems such as substation SCADA, auxiliary system SCADA, fire detection and cyber security. Your role will be the leader of the team and you will ensure that the right team is set for projects, manage recruitment, and development of the team.

Key responsibilities and tasks
With reference to the Engineering & Technology Director, you will be an integral part of the business unit’s management team. You will be expected to form strong working relationships with the other existing teams e.g. sales, tender, project management and the other technical departments.
Your profile
You have relevant experience from the SCADA/Automation industry and preferably also from the offshore wind industry. You hold a Bachelor or a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar and you have a proven track record within team management – either through project management and/or from a head of department function.
As a leader, you are assertive, nurture a trust-building environment and carry the ability to delegate and empower people effectively. You know that it is all about creating results through building a strong, motivated and engaged team. You are focused, solution-oriented, work in a structured way and handle stakeholders proactively and it is necessary that you are used to coping with complex and difficult tasks

- Leadership and management of the team
- Recruitment, employee development and performance management
- Maintaining and further developing department competencies and processes within tendering, engineering studies, EPC projects and development projects
- Develop and maintain area lead structure in department
- Ensuring a consistent focus on driving cost-efficiencies
- Strategic supplier development and participating in partnering discussions
