MOL Chemical Tankers Europe A/S is a leader within the chemical tanker industry and we are part of the global shipping company MOL Chemical Tankers headquartered in Singapore. MOL Chemical Tankers is part of the Japanese Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), listed on the Tokyo stock exchange.
We carry chemicals, oils/fats, acids and petroleum products in bulk, and we are a total of approximately 9,000 employees within Mitsui O.S.K lines, including nearly 100 colleagues in the western hemisphere located in Europe, Americas and Colombia.
To support our ambitious growth strategy, we are recruiting a Trainee for our Commercial departments in our Europe Division headquartered in Copenhagen.
Our Trainee Program
As our Trainee, you will be provided with solid knowledge of shipping and a thorough education. You will get a two-year education, varying between intensive practice and theory. The practical part mainly takes place at our headquarters in Copenhagen, but you will also visit our vessels for short trips, dockings or inspections whenever the opportunity arises.
The theoretical part takes place at the Danish Shipping Academy, where you will learn about ship knowledge, maritime economics, maritime law and much more. Additionally, you will complete HD courses at Copenhagen Business School.
During the practical education, you will be part of our commercial departments Chartering, Operations and Fleet Management while also getting introductions to support functions such as Business Controlling processes. We will set you up with colleagues, who are always ready to mentor, guide and support you.
The traineeship is full-time, and the expected start date is mid-August 2021.
Only applicants with Danish residence and work permit will be considered for the position.

- General Certificate of Secondary Education, Higher Commercial Education (HHX, STX etc.)
- Mathematics, minimum at B level
- Well versed in Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent English skills as our corporate language is English
- A bachelor’s degree or a maritime degree is welcome
