Job Title: Inspection Manager Denmark and Norway

Reporting to: GM Caleb Brett Denmark and Norway

Location: Kalundborg, Denmark

Role Type: Full time

Scope/Purpose (of the role in the organization):

  • Managing a team of inspectors in Denmark and Norway
  • Member of the Caleb Brett Leadership team
  • Taking the role of a senior leader within Caleb Brett, with possibility to increase the leader scoop to a larger team.

Key Skills required (education, work experience, languages, specific knowledge):

  • Preferably background in the oil industry
  • Senior leader with superior skills in Managing people in to meet set targets and good relation with team members.
  • An employer profile and able to communicate corporate visions and build engagement in a remote team
  • Experienced in working in larger international companies
  • Decision maker
  • Strong communication skills
  • Completer-finisher

Key Relationships (stakeholders internal and external):

  • Collaboration with team members
  • Collaboration with GM and colleagues in leadership team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for managing inspector team to its target
  • Building engagement in the team
  • Accountable utilization and planning, according to company targets and local (working environment) legislation
  • To be a positive company representative to clients.
  • To ensure that adequate equipment and personnel are available for all jobs
  • Sets a positive example for all employees through professional behaviour and maintenance of a professional atmosphere in the workplace
  • To render to clients an accurate, rapid, and otherwise efficient Inspection service which is of indisputable integrity.

Authorities:

  • Plan and execute daily work for inspector team in Denmark and Norway
  • He/she shall maintain and improve inspection operation efficiency in a cost-effective manner, ensure resources such as manpower, training, workflow etc. are available to create a sustainable inspection operation.
  • With the advice and consent of the GM, evaluates inspection employee performance, maintains discipline and recommends hiring and dismissal. Appoints deputies for key inspection duties and ensures personnel are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how their role contributes to the company.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant education and preferably with work experience in the oil or shipping industry. There are no specific academic or experience requirements. However, the Inspection Manager must be able to staff the Inspection department with qualified and competent personnel.
  • Strong leader and several years’ experience of managing and building engagement in a team
  • Capable to build engagement and "sell" way of working to the team in a good way
  • Use to working in a larger company, preferable in multinational matrix company
  • Driven to perform and execute on plan
  • People focused
  • Can- do attitude
  • Fluent in Danish and English language orally and in written
  • Organized with time management skills and focus on good relations to personel, such as local presence, relation building leadership and positive mindset.
