Studiejob - København K
Shipping is one of the hardest sectors to decarbonise. Maersk has committed to do it anyway - can you help us?
Maersk is looking for a Student Assistant to join our Technical Innovation team to help us explore, assess and mature new technologies for our ships, that can help reduce CO2 emission.
We offer a unique opportunity for personal and professional development in a Fortune 500 company.
Fast growth means a steady stream of new challenges, and a constant need for new ideas, knowledge and talent to overcome them.
This makes our organisation a dynamic environment where your creativity, ambition and problem-solving skills will be put to test.
In December 2018 Maersk announced the strategy to reduce its CO2 emissions to net zero in 2050 (https://youtu.be/2XBO_ZULmAk).
No economically and operationally viable solutions to reduce our vessels’ emissions to net zero exist today, and since container ships typically operate for 20-25 years, technologies need to be identified, tested and matured over the next 5-10 years.
We are looking for a Student Assistant to join our Technical Innovation team to help us explore, assess and mature new technologies for our ships, that can help reduce CO2 emission.
This role is based in our HQ in Copenhagen and the number of working hours will in average be 15-20 hours/week.
Your tasks will include:
• Supporting the Technical Innovation team in the collection of various market intelligence data and in the preparation of technology assessments and business cases
• Various ad hoc administrative tasks related to project management of large external funded projects (arrange meetings, handle invoices, prepare yearly reports, retrieve data from partners, etc.)
• Support in preparing applications towards external funding programs
• Competitor benchmark analysis
• Power point presentations and reports to managements
• Research tasks (data gathering and analysis)
• External stakeholder management
You are either in the final phase of your Bachelor study or beginning of your Master within engineering, business administration, or other relevant aducation, and possess skills as described below:
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Power Point and possess the ability of extracting and analysing data from various sources and databases
• Excellent communication skills and enjoy communicating complex matters to a wider audience.
• Excellent English language skills, both orally and in writing
• Thrive working in a fast-paced environment, where the ability to prioritize is key
• As a person are analytical, comfortable working with details, meticulous, outgoing and a quick learner, able to work independently and take responsibility for own assignments
• You genuinely enjoy working in a team and contribute towards common goals
• Humble and have a structured approach towards handling basic and more complex project tasks.
• A go-do person, who is able to generate results and help us advance on our decarbonization agenda
