Are you a newly graduated Naval Architect with an innovative mindset? Do you want to work with floating wind and substations? Then we are looking for your skills in our Renewable Energy department in Copenhagen.

An exciting everyday life with varied tasks awaits you
As a Naval Architect in ISC, you will be involved in the design and certification of floating substations. You will be working on the hydrodynamic aspects of the floating substation design, under the supervision and support from Anton Slyozkin, the Lead Floating Engineer. The task is to develop the design of a floating substation and collaborate with the Structural Team to provide data needed for structural analysis and sizing.

We are looking for a skilled and committed Naval Architect who can contribute professionally as well as socially to the pleasant atmosphere.

As leaders in the design of substations for offshore wind farms worldwide, you will collaborate with customers, partners, and colleagues with diverse professional and geographical backgrounds. Everyone contributing to the green transition.

Your daily tasks
Projects are executed in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary project team, including engineers with various educational backgrounds and project managers. You will be involved in all phases of the project, from the proposal stage to execution.

Your daily tasks will primarily include:

  • To perform analysis on hydrodynamics, stability, coupled loads and motions under support from Lead Engineer.
  • Develop and implement solutions for the design of floating substation.
  • Produce design report and other deliverables for client and Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Learning about design codes, legislative requirements, and current good engineering practices, as well as utilize them for daily design tasks.


Your qualifications
You should be proficient in communicating and collaborating in English and with a diverse group of colleagues, encompassing various professional and cultural backgrounds. Further, it is crucial you understand the importance of working together as a team and thrive working in project oriented.

We expect that you have:

  • A Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture or similar.
  • An innovative and problem-solving mindset.
  • The ability to take initiative and facilitate progress on projects.

It is an advantage, but not mandatory, if you have:

  • Experience in the offshore industry either in the design of floating structures or analyses for offshore installations.
  • Experience with Orcaflex, MOSES, SESAM.
  • Experience with PYTHON programming.
