You will join our Offshore Pipeline department
As our new Offshore Pipeline Graduate Engineer, you will be part of our pipeline engineering team working on projects determined by our clients. Our teams typically comprise 5–10 members working on a project with duration from a few months to a year. We believe in learning, so you will be working hands-on on specific projects from the start. Therefore, you will from the onset of your career have responsibility for project deliverables; from definition of tasks, performing analyses, design, preparing reports and presenting the results to our clients.
Ramboll has been working with subsea pipelines for more than 30 years and we have highly specialised and dedicated Pipeline teams in Copenhagen and Chennai. We provide specialist engineering services for pipelines and subsea systems. Our services cover both inter-field pipeline systems between templates and production facilities as well as oil and gas transmission pipelines.
Furthermore, we cover all aspects of pipeline engineering including cost estimating, concept and feasibility studies, detailed and follow-on engineering. We also provide offshore supervision and engineering support, construction management including procurement assistance as well as pipeline integrity engineering including design life extension.

We have a high focus on training our engineers, and it is important that you acquire the right competences to solve your tasks. To ensure this, a mentor will be assigned to guide you. For the first 1-2 years of your career, the priority will be to gain knowledge within all the different disciplines involved in pipeline engineering. This is obtained by a combination of training/workshops, hands-on work and courses.

Learning new skills and using new technologies is an inherent part of the job, and it is important that you embrace change with a positive attitude and adapt quickly into our team. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Define methods for solutions, perform analyses and design document calculations
- Perform structural finite element analyses using ANSYS
- Prepare routing and design of offshore pipelines containing topics as theory of solid and soil mechanics
- Design of pipeline components and protective structures
- Participate in the tool development using advance algorithms and programming in python
- Participate in the digitalisation and automation of the pipeline/structural engineering activities

- M.Sc. Engineer e.g. Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- Solid programming skills within Matlab or Python
- Knowledge about virtual environment and cloud computing
- Completed courses in FEM analysis, marine structures or structural strength of steel
- Internship from other engineering company, experience from the oil and gas industry will be a plus
- User level of Finite Element Analyses by using ANSYS or similar
