Platform Manager
You are a key player in the cooperation between IT and Business stakeholders, with a mandate to facilitate changes in collaboration with commercial and development teams. Your strong business domain knowledge is crucial in the translation of business objectives and initiatives into features, in a sequence that delivers customer value as early as possible. Additionally, you support the breakdown of features into user stories.
Affinity with trading and investing in financial markets and interest in how financial instruments work is foundational. In addition, you can relate to the needs of Saxo Bank’s partners and the possible issues they are experiencing. Your success will be based on strong communicative and collaborative skills, results delivered and added value to the business and the teams you work with
As a Global Platform Manager:
- You are an energetic and motivated person who can work in a structured manner as part of a multidisciplinary team and who can also work independently and think and act out of the box.
- You have a good understanding of the online trading domain, its processes and the underlying business model.
- Your understanding of the latest developments in business and technology allows you to propose structural improvements aimed at moving closer to an industry-leading customer experience.
- You are comfortable collaborating and reaching across teams and functional borders and serve as a liaison when needed. You are able to easily connect and align stakeholders (by listening to them) on all levels of the Saxo Bank organization.
- You demonstrate understanding of IT concepts and have relevant knowledge of the IT landscape.
- You are able to positively influence business and IT strategies locally or and at a group level.
- You report on progress, value delivery, financials and escalate when needed.
- You give and ask for constructive feedback.
Skills and competences:
- Ability to look at the business from the customer's perspective (customer centric thinking)
- Problem solving skills to find creative ways of driving progress and removing impediments
- Results-oriented, always striving for maximal consumer value as early as possible
- Strong team player, empowering and challenging team/chapter members to foster collaboration and individual development
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A personality and the capabilities to function within an Agile environment
- Eager to learn and ability to inspire others
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Passion for financial markets and IT
Proven track record:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (within area of Finance, Economics or IT)
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Multiple years of experience within the business domain (investing/trading, ideally within a B2B2C setup).
- Demonstration of deep functional knowledge of the business domain (end-to-end); knowing how business processes utilize IT solutions.
- Experience/affinity with IT (and Agile methodologies) is a plus.
- Previous experience as a product manager/owner for financial market platforms is a plus.

Chief Operating Office (COO) within Saxo Bank
COO is responsible for building, constantly developing and improving the full digital value chain that Saxo Bank delivers to its clients and its partners. This is done in close collaboration with the IT Department and the Saxo Experience Office (SXO) and supports Saxo Bank in always providing a world class digital Saxo Experience in an efficient, stable and scalable way.
The COO Area includes the following departments: Business Management, Platforms, Operations, Trading & Market Access, Quant Department, Big Data & IA as well as the Counterparty Credit Risk Management department.
