As our new Interface Manager, you will be part of our global Offshore Wind Engineering department. You will take on responsibility for supporting project manager and teams in all organizational matters and day-to-day operations regarding technical interfaces incl. managing interfaces between various business work streams and departments.If you crave a challenging role but also flexibility and work life balance, this role may be ideal for you. Since 2007 we have been involved in floating offshore wind and today have a dedicated team of experts supporting clients globally.Within Ramboll, over 500 highly qualified experts are working on onshore and offshore wind projects globally, operating primarily from our 15 key offices across the Nordics, Germany, UK, Poland, Spain, Japan and the US.Your tasks and responsibilitiesAs part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as:Support project management in all organizational matters and day-to-day operations regarding (technical) interfacesManage interface between various business work streams and departmentsCoordinate cross-functional and inter-departmental activities to ensure alignment and clear communicationIdentify and schedule interface handovers and ensure process complianceDevelop interface management protocols for internal / external stakeholders regarding contracts / agreementsMaintain effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout projectSupport project management by ensuring project feasibility, quality, cost, regulatory, safety, environmental, and project design requirements are metCoordinate and maintain accurate records of work processes and design decisions in collaboration with document management and controllingEstablish framework for continuous improvement of work processes, especially in relation to safety, project economics, innovations, or requirementsCoordinate activities for calculating technical costs, and support in technical auditsIntegrate innovation-related workstreams, coordinate readiness assessments, business case insights, and documentation, highlight value-adding benefitsEngage in project developments to reduce costs while ensuring quality and budget requirements of technical interfacesEnsure interface management is aligned with project organisation and contract structuresYour qualificationsMaster’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with focus on design of offshore steel structures or similar areas of studyMinimum 2-5 years’ experience with planning / executing of international offshore wind projectsExperienced and successfully completed at least one major / large offshore wind developmentDemonstrated understanding of sequencing of project planning and interfaces that will ariseCommercial understanding to describe and document interfaces in tender documentExperience with directly reporting to relevant parties and being accountable for the overall success of the project deliverablesAble to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisionsCustomer oriented approach as well as self-reliant, reliable, detail-oriented, structured way of workingPeople management skills in context of managing various stakeholders locally and remotelyAbility to communicate effectively with all various level of management within the company and with potential clients, suppliers, subcontractors and partnersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team environmentHigh level of proficiency in written and spoken EnglishHigh integrity and team spirit, proactively engaging with others and offering support when requiredWelcome to our Energy divisionRamboll is at the forefront of addressing the green energy transition and offers a holistic approach that supports the sector on the journey towards more sustainable solutions.
