FORCE Technology’s Business Development Unit Maritime, Air & Sound in Lyngby provides services to the global construction and maritime industries. This covers, advanced ship simulations, plus experimental and computational evaluation of buildings, bridges, ships and offshore structures to assess and optimize their performance.

As our new Project Engineer, you will become an important part of it.
As our new Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily coordination, planning and execution of towing tank projects. Setup and testing in the towing tank, will be in close cooperation with our technicians.
We offer a position, in a dedicated and skilled team in a company, which has a strong focus on assisting worldwide clients, with value creating consultancy related to ship and offshore hydrodynamics.
Some of your key tasks will be:
The Tank Team is part of the Department for Hydro- and Aerodynamics and the team performs all the department’s tasks, related to tank testing and hydrodynamics for ships, offshore structures, and floating wind turbine foundations, including R&D activities. The team also provides consultancy assistance to our clients, based on the measured results, in connection with design optimization and troubleshooting.
You will be working from our location in Lyngby.
You most likely have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with focus on naval architecture, and a talent for experimental work and data acquisition. Furthermore, we imagine that you bring:
In addition to the above, you have an analytical and structured approach in your daily work, you like practical work in the tank environment, and you provide professional and high-quality services to our clients. Newly graduated will also be taken into consideration for this position, as we will provide the training you will need to succeed in the position.
It is important that you enjoy working in an international environment, as your colleagues and clients are of many nationalities. For the same reason, good communication skills and English at a professional level is a must.

Internationally minded, with a talent for data analysis and experimental work
As our new Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily coordination, planning and execution of towing tank projects. Setup and testing in the towing tank, will be in close cooperation with our technicians.

- model design, setup of measuring equipment and execution of tests
- data analysis and reporting
- dialogue with clients during projects
- participation in the team’s consultancy activities.

What we expect from you
You most likely have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with focus on naval architecture, and a talent for experimental work and data acquisition. Furthermore, we imagine that you bring:
- knowledge within ship hydrodynamics
- experience with, and understanding of, data analysis
- knowledge within programming (e.g., Matlab) and 3D drawing tools (Rhino/NAPA) preferred
- good at planning and executing projects to meet deadlines within allocated resources
- service-minded and enjoy engaging with clients.
In addition to the above, you have an analytical and structured approach in your daily work, you like practical work in the tank environment, and you provide professional and high-quality services to our clients. Newly graduated will also be taken into consideration for this position, as we will provide the training you will need to succeed in the position.
It is important that you enjoy working in an international environment, as your colleagues and clients are of many nationalities. For the same reason, good communication skills and English at a professional level is a must.
