About the position
We currently have an opening for a Digital Marketing Specialist for our in-house Global Marketing Communications agency based at the company HQ in Esbjerg, Denmark. Here you will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of 8 marketing and communications professionals, serving the worldwide organization with everything from digital and online marketing, social media, advertising and PR, to graphics design, photo and video, sales materials and event management.
Your specialist focus will be on developing and coordinating the digital side of the company’s marketing communication activities and platforms, delivering valuable experiences across the entire digital customer journey and online brand ecosystem.
From mindset to skillset
You’ll be expected to work with digital communications across multiple platforms including websites, e-commerce and marketing automation platforms and the company intranet. The position involves both project management and support, concept development and practical implementation. Therefore, broad experience within digital marketing is a significant advantage. Even more important, however, is your proactive mindset and eagerness to learn from challenges, to continuously improve your skills and boost your experience.
As part of a global team working with many different business segments and colleagues of different professions and nationalities on a daily basis, you’ll need to be good at managing your time, as well as being able to juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball. Attention to detail and a high level of adaptability are critical skills for the successful candidate, who will also need an excellent grasp of English and a flair for navigating in a commercial context to cooperate successfully.
Your toolkit probably contains assets such as hands-on CMS system experience, knowledge of working with marketing automation, analytics and SEO – as well as other ingredients of the digital marketing mix.
Primary tasks and responsibilities
- Digital project management from briefing and concept development to practical implementation – e.g. e-newsletter, account-based campaigns and webinars
- Online lead generation with marketing automation tool (we use Dynamics 365 Marketing)
- Optimization and maintenance of external and internal digital platforms – mainly viking-life.com and the VIKING intranet
- SEO, digital analytics and KPI tracking/reporting
Got what it takes?
You have experience from a similar role and relevant educational qualifications. If you are a recent graduate with digital marketing experience through internships or student employment, we would also like to hear from you.
Ideally, you’re a team player, eager to contribute and assist colleagues and not afraid to make an extraordinary effort if and when needed.
In a truly global organization like ours, excellent spoken and written English is a necessity to cooperate successfully. Proficiency in Danish it is an advantage, but not a requirement.
