Then you may be our next Commercial Director Obesity in the North West European regional office of Novo Nordisk. Don’t hesitate any longer and apply! The Position With our life-changing quality products, we have already established a strong market presence in the therapeutic area Obesity around the world, however as a very low percentage of people living with obesity are getting any treatment today, there is a massive untapped potential. You will be working with a diverse set of stakeholders in complex commercial environments, where regulatory circumstances and international law play intricate and important roles in how we market and sell our quality products. Through this and much more, you will be setting strategic directions for a therapy area that is expected to be an important growth driver for Novo Nordisk going forward. You will be identifying the ways we can grow across the North Western European countries we cover. You will be working closely together with the affiliates, inspire them to see ways of breaking barriers through innovation and new ways of collaborating with an array of partners within the health care system using the latest technologies. Your other responsibilities would include: Set direction and ensure successful launches of innovative products and solutions Drive processes to problem solve complex situations with our markets Facilitate creation of commercial policies and value propositions to engage commercial partners. Preparing presentations and representing the regions views in working groups with our HQ and International Operations Drive business development efforts and support affiliates to engage in partnerships and new customer segments where relevant. Analyze market data, and ensure insights are reflected in regional strategies, and priorities are set in affiliate brand plans Support the business planning and resource allocation process to ensure the right ambition and resources are present. Carefully review and reflect on Strategic Planning process and align with affiliate teams on how to plan activities and tactics addressing the key actions. Challenge and support affiliate teams on their brand plans. Regularly track affiliate performance vs commercial excellence measures and identify key gaps to address. Support the Obesity Leadership Team to continuously improve these measures with their sales teams. Bring better practices from inside and outside of the industry to improve commercial excellence parameters. Identify capabilities that needs further development in affiliates. Build an entrepreneurial culture to reach our high ambitions in obesity The position is located out of our offices in Ørestaden, Copenhagen, Denmark. In special cases, for the right person, this position may be remotely filled by a candidate not located in Denmark. This will add to the amount of expected travel, though, depending on location Qualifications The ideal candidate has the commercial insight and experience, the strategic skill set, innovative mindset with an ability to challenge the status-quo and a people approach to be successful in breaking barriers and pursue new opportunities in a complex, regional business environment with a diverse set of stakeholders and regulatory frameworks. Great communication and influencing skills with the ability to cooperate effectively with people at all levels in the organisation are relevant for the role. Moreover you have: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sales, marketing or commercial excellence, from a country organisation or a regional/HQ position working closely with the markets Previous experience working in an affiliate is a must; within newly established therapy areas or the field of Obesity is a plus Past experience within Out-of-Pocket market for prescription medicine preferred; alternatively experience from the OTC market Pharmaceutical industry knowledge About the Department In the regional office of North West Europe, a diverse group of professionals counting many different nationalities are working with 15 countries across the region. We are organised in a matrix structure of strategic and operational departments and teams across therapeutic areas. You will be part of the Commercial Obesity Team, setting the direction for our success in obesity, ensuring the right strategic and operational priorities for existing and future products. You will be working with internal colleagues and external collaborators across Europe and based in our country affiliates.
