Are you prepared to lead Novo Nordisk's Rare Disease in North West Europe (NWE)? Drive growth and innovation through strategic planning and business development, collaborating across functions to distinguish our offerings in Rare Blood Disorders, Rare Endocrine Disorders, and Haemoglobinopathies. Your role as the Commercial Director will spearhead strategic planning and implementation, ensuring market differentiation and cementing our position as a healthcare leader. The Position As Commercial Director within Rare Disease an entrepreneurial approach will be needed as you work with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain partnerships and collaborations. This includes contributing to business review meetings, building networks, working independently in complex situations, promoting cross-functional teamwork, and communicating effectively for broader organizational impact. Your key duties include: Developing and implementing Rare Disease strategies across NWE, aligning with Medical Affairs and External Affairs for wider initiatives. Supporting affiliate growth through commercial initiatives, price optimization, and introducing new products. Encouraging cross-functional teamwork to meet Rare Disease goals, optimizing resource allocation across affiliates and Therapy Areas. Monitoring market development and making strategic recommendations. Handling complex projects with a significant impact on SVP area results. Qualifications For this role, the Commercial Director should embody high independence and proactive leadership in driving strategic initiatives within Rare Disease. You will innovate and identify novel approaches while managing projects across multiple therapy areas efficiently. Responsibilities involve high variability, complexity, and a lack of precedence, necessitating resource optimization. Moreover, you meet the following requirements: Holds a Master's Degree in life science or business and have over 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Have an understanding of and capabilities in the Multichannel Ecosystem and how to enhance the business through this. Fluent in both written and spoken English Demonstrated cross-functional expertise in commercial, business, or marketing roles, particularly in commercial evaluations, brand positioning, customer and sales data insights, customer value proposition, and market access. Proven track record in relationship-building with healthcare decision-makers, delivering aligned business objectives, and articulating complex issues persuasively. Competent in strategic analysis, tactical planning, and project management within complex organizational structures. Strong grasp of Rare Disease market dynamics would be an advantage About the Department Novo Nordisk North West Europe (NWE) Region covers 15 countries across north and western Europe.
