The position
As the VSPE (Value Strategy and Payer Engagement) Director you will be responsible for developing the strategy and lead communication for Novo Nordisk in-line brands as well as lead the development of the Value strategy and market access planning for pipeline products. You will lead activities to understand the future payer environment and set a strong direction for gaining access for our future Diabetes assets as well as drive development of innovative and appropriate tools and techniques/training to effectively define and communicate the value of our products to payers.
You will collaborate with other Global functions across the value chain engage proactively with the broader market access network of stakeholders in Operations to deliver best-in-class Global Access strategies, Global Payer Value stories and to provide Global support during the peri-launch and lifecycle management process.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Lead market access activities for pipeline assets and ensure consideration and implementation of market access requirements into development plans across diabetes pipeline
• Lead development of payer value communication materials and tools and support LCM activities for in-line brands
• Drive relevant external payer engagement activities to inform and drive our approaches
• Identify payer environment trends and their implications for access strategies within Diabetes Qualifications
You have comprehensive market access experience, both from strategic and operational market access roles, ideally within pharmaceutical industry and/or a consultancy company. You show a high degree of business and industry insight, and you have solid experience with setting the direction and the strategy for your area.
As a person you have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, strong commercial understanding and a high degree of ambition and personal drive. It comes natural for you to identify new and innovative approaches when driving projects and deliverables related to our assets. Finally, you have a master's degree and are fluent in English.

The Diabetes Market Access department within Novo Nordisk is part of the Diabetes Franchise and drives the Global market access strategies for our Diabetes portfolio. The department drives market access considerations for the Diabetes Therapeutic Area including brand responsibilities and driving pre-launch and launch activities in close collaboration with regions and affiliates.
