Therefore, we are currently looking for a Product Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Team and Role

Product Management is a newly established department within R&D at TERMA, responsible for managing our diverse product portfolio across Space, Aero, Ground, and Maritime domains through our Radar & MDS product portfolios. Our Product Managers balance three critical focus areas: Strategic, Commercial, and Product. We work collaboratively to navigate through the various stages of the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of profitable and high-quality products that support TERMA’s growth journey.

The Product Management team is lLocated in Lystrup & Søborg. You will be part of a brand new Multi Domain System (MDS) team, where your area of responsibility is focusing on the digitalization of the Multi Domain Operation (MDO) area. This team will be based in Søborg, though we prioritize competencies and team synergy over specific locations. Our team is diverse, comprising different ages, genders, and professional backgrounds, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where each member's strengths are recognized and utilized. You will be part of a dynamic team with a shared purpose of delivering best-in-class products. Together with your colleagues in the Product Management (PRM) department, you will define and execute on the MDO portfolio strategy and be responsible for its digitalization.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Product Management team, you will be responsible for our digitalization framework across all our product areas, and anchor digital services within our software products.

Strategic Vision & Portfolio Management:

  • Develop long-term digital product vision, direction, and roadmap for the Multi Domain Operations (MDO) area-
  • Build strong product roadmaps that support TERMA’s growth strategy and ensure alignment with stakeholders for portfolio investments.
  • Work closely with Customer Insight Strategy (CIS), Business Areas (BA), and R&D to gather customer insights, market research, sales potential and technological drivers as input for the roadmap and ensure alignment.
  • Manage stakeholders, communicate vision and priorities, and gather market and customer feedback from the commercial organization.
  • Engage with Customers: Gather feedback and insights from customers to refine product features and meet market demands.
  • Conduct Market Analysis: Perform market research to identify trends and opportunities, using data to inform product strategy.
  • Understand markets, customers, and competitors to prioritize portfolio investments.

Product Innovation & Growth:

  • Develop a digitalization platform and framework for the MDO area to bridge the voice of the customer and the voice of the system
  • Identify new product opportunities within the MDO areas.
  • Ensure a ready pipeline for development gates and seamless product development and launch across the portfolio.
  • Champion new product concepts within Software, building strong business cases.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new products together with CIS.
  • Measure commercial product performance and profitability.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a strong educational background and a diverse set of professional competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term product strategies.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to make informed decisions.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of managing complex products, with familiarity in defense technologies and systems being beneficial.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to supervise projects from conception through to delivery.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience in transforming and transitioning markets from projects to scalable products and from hardware sales to software as a service.
  • Experience with UX/UI and methodologies for incorporating feedback into our software products.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have previous experience within the defense industry, including knowledge on defense regulations and certifications. It is also a plus, if you have experience in working with digitalization and software within the defense industry.
