Commercial Product Manager – experience within the leather and/or the fabric industry

As Commercial Product Manager at Scan-Hide, you will be responsible for sales within the bulk segment and the sale of finished rawhides. You are also responsible for maintaining long, value-based collaborations with customers and identifying new opportunities.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the sales within Scan-Hide and Nordic SPOOR A/S. In addition, you will be responsible for supplying rawhides to international tannings and leather companies.
With direct report to the CEO of Scan-Hide.
Your main tasks are:
You have a cultural understanding and international sales experience with a close focus on product and price management and a commercial drive. In addition, you have an excellent overview of the national and international market situation and can proactively react to these. Ideally, you have three years of Commercial Product Management experience from a similarly complex organisation, with responsibility for a complete product portfolio sold to the B2B segment. Furthermore, you have experience in the leather-, furniture- or fabric industry and an understanding of lifecycle management.
In addition, it is beneficial to have a toolbox within the leather industry or fabric segment. This includes knowledge within leather/fabric attributes, as well as an understanding of the quality levels. Moreover, you must also be able to understand complex financial data and understandably explain these. This requires a solid understanding of general financial numbers.
Documented sales/commercial results are most important, but ideally, you also have a commercial, educational background in product management, sales, category management, etc.
You are a person with a commercial mindset that is sales and performance-driven, structured, ambitious, and able to maintain an overview while reaching agreed goals. You can work independently and take ownership of the assigned tasks and goals.
Moreover, you are business-oriented and thrives in a role where you have a customer centric view. In addition, you are driven by achieving great results and are proactive in your actions, as well as a good communicator with a detail-oriented mindset.
Travelling: Approximately 20-25 days of travelling/year. This only includes travel activities for international distributors/tanneries or customers.
Domicile: At the office in Viborg or Herning and the office in Vester Skerninge. Ideally you will be placed two days a week at the Viborg or Herning office and one day a week at the office in Vester Skerninge. It is also possible to work from home.

- Know the market and customers and closely monitor and document market development, competitors, innovations, customer movements, and trends in the market and industry
- Outline business cases and pricing strategy for new developments
- Manage total product portfolio from cradle to cradle
- Align with external and internal stakeholders
- Continuously follow up on realised sales, budget, forecast, and contracts to ensure alignment with target and overall priorities
- Prepare and execute tactical and operational plans with relevant stakeholders
- Facilitate cooperation and follow-up on distributors/agents
- Build, maintain, and extend a broad network of business relationships
