Do you want to be part of the strongest field test department in Europe? We are looking for a Lead Engineer to Performance Testing, who is determined and thorough.
Industrialisation Test & Verification Performance Testing
The Prototype and Performance Testing department is responsible for field-testing of Vestas turbines and technologies. As a part of the product development process, you will work with test and validation of the most advanced products and technologies in the industry.
The Lead Engineer will be an important contributor to our Noise and Vibration team and will work together with technicians as well as design engineers. You will ensure valid measurements via full control of all steps in the measurement chain, from placement of sensors, cabling, calibration, data analysis and to the reporting of results. Industrialisation Test & Verification Performance Testing

Responsibilities
- Plan and excecute vibro-acoustic performance tests
- Conduct instrumentation alone or together with technicians
- Make data analysis using Brüel & Kjær measurement and analysis platform
- Reporting and discussion of results with Design Experts
- Development of the vibro-acoustics platform
- Maintain and ensure calibration of equipment
- Engage and ensure deliverables from use of sub-suppliers and measurement institutes
Qualifications
- Master or bachelor’s degree in vibro-acoustics or structural dynamics
- Experience with programming of analysis and reporting tools
- Experience with measurements on large dynamic structures synchronized with rotating machinery
- Experience with Vibro-Acoustical analysis; EMA, ODS, OMA, TPA etc.
- Interest in acoustical and sound intensity measurements
- Experience in data analysis in Brüel & Kjær analysis platform is an advantage
- Experience with working according to standards e.g. ISO 20816-1 or IEC 61400-11
Competencies
- Structured, analytic and thorough
- Interest to occasional practical work in wind turbines, or factory locations
- Ability to act in the role as technical lead
- 20-40 days of travel (on-site) primarily in DK will be expected. Driver license is therefore needed
- Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
