The department is responsible for delivering service solutions on all brands enabling the service business within Vestas to fulfil its ambitious, strategic targets. This department holds the design responsibility for service and after sales solutions on the products no longer being manufactured. We are responsible for delivering innovative solutions to ensure highest possible value to Vestas customers in the service business. We support combining operational WTG knowledge with new designs for service solutions. The Service Engineering has high attention in Vestas as the marked is increasing and getting more complex.
You will work with highly specialised and diverse colleagues, who takes great pride in collaborating across borders to finding the innovative solutions needed to meet the demand of a growing and complex business. The team is located in different geographical locations and is expanding since this is a cornerstone in Vestas journey to be the market leader within sustainable energy solutions. The position requires approximately 15-20 days of travel a year.

Responsibilities
As Grid Modelling Specialist in Service Engineering you will be a core member of the engineering specialist team that brings together the ideas across the electrical area into value adding projects. Your area of responsibility will be, but not excluded to:
- Lead and secure electrical power system studies in the area of power flow, stability, protection and related topics in relation with verification of models
- Participate in cross functional teams supporting power system related functionality modification and development for installed wind turbines and power plant controllers
- Initiate development of electrical simulation models for installed Gen Units and Power Plant Controller, with focus on delivering highest possible quality
- Create and maintain electrical models on different power plant units, like WTGs, PVs and Energy Storage Units, and other electrical components (e.g. a transformer, a STATCOM, a Synchronous Condenser, etc.) for installed power plants
- Support aftersales business roadmap for delivering electrical models for installed power plant
- Collaboration with third party companies and sub-suppliers developing technical solutions
Qualifications
- B.Sc / M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering or similar from an accredited university or engineering college
- Experience with electrical modelling or power system simulations in wind power business is desirable
- The knowledge of Dynamic Link Library (DLL)
- The knowledge of utilising computational modelling platforms, for instance PSCAD, PSS/E or Power Factory etc
- The knowledge on MATLA B, Simulink and Model Based Design (MBD)
- The knowledge on software and programming skills (ex. C, C++, Python, JIRA, SourceTree, Git, etc.)
- The knowledge on power system time domain and frequency domain modelling and stability analysis
