In this new position you will join a newly established team called Displaying ID & UX module team. We are responsible for product design, user experience design and user interface design of display units/monitors, connectors and carts. The team is part of the Displaying Units and Systems Engineering department consisting of Hardware -, Software- and Requirements Engineers. You will work with development of our Displaying unit and cart platforms in collaboration with other ID/UX designers and engineers. You will collaborate across the entire product development process from beginning to end.
Primary areas of responsibility
Experienced medical device engineer
Ideally, you hold an educational background within mechanical engineering or similar and have solid experience with mechanical construction, 3D CAD modelling, injection molding and thermo dynamics in electronic devices.
You have at least 5 years of experience with plastic and mechanical construction. Most likely, you are employed in a similar job within the medical device industry or in a consultancy that deals with the medical device field. You have the ability to collaborate as well as work as an individual and self-driven to solve problems creatively and effectively.
As a person you have a positive mindset, you are committed and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work. You are thorough and detail-oriented but at the same time you don’t get lost in detail, you have a well-developed situational awareness and know to reach compromises. You work well in the early part of development where exploration is dominant, and uncertainty is high. You also have the stamina to finalize the products, ensure the right quality is reached and follow through all the way to specification and documentation. Additionally, you are able to work and succeed under pressure and can take feedback openly
Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration and you will join an international team. Consequently, it is a requirement that you are fluent in English and that you are able to communicate efficiently.

- Mechanical design and construction of Displaying Units, connectors, cart and other accessories
- Participate in setting project requirements that are measurable and verifiable
- Participate in concept ideation and project challenge sprints
- Develop mock-ups for user testing and/or R&D testing/Pre-testing
- Manage own project work and collaborate with internal and external partners
- Document work and conduct design reviews
- Ensure design vision is implemented and reaches the correct quality in collaboration with our external development partners
- Contribute to deliverables of other expert areas, e.g. System requirements, Risk analysis etc.
