For our Electrical Drive Train department we are looking for a concept design engineer to support our technology development activities. Continuous improvement of our turbines - without compromising on safety and quality - is one of the corner stones of our culture and time to market is one of our main priorities. Consequently, our Electrical Drive Train department is at the forefront of the latest Direct Drive Generator and Power Converter technology. The role is based in Brande and is working with a multi-disciplined team of highly skilled engineers working located at several international locations. Furthermore we have a mechanical design support based in Bangalore, India.
How to contribute to our vision
The concept design engineer will be responsible for the support of technology development projects with mechanical design of generator and electrical system components and subsystems. Your responsibilities will also be to develop concepts of new technologies bringing new concepts to life by doing and coordinating the mechanical design process with our multi-disciplined team of engineers. In doing so, you will also collaborate with key suppliers and plan and participate in test assemblies with responsibility for the Bill of Material. For larger projects you will be required to coordinate the mechanical design activities with Mechanical Design support in Bangalore, India.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
The ideal candidate has an education as mechanical engineer and are an experienced 3D CAD designer with good knowledge of manufacturing processes, i.e. casting, welding and machining, and have experience in NX and TeamCenter or similar software. You are outgoing and process-oriented and possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams. You are structured and innovative and your approach to problem solving is both technically sound and commercially viable. You have the ability to interface at all levels in a dynamic environment and possess strong communication in English both orally and in writing.
Experience in manufacturing of electrical generators and converter would be an advantage though not critical.
In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
