Pentair Union Engineering designs and supplies process equipment and technology to global food and beverage industries as well as industrial gas companies in project volumes up to three-digit million amounts. The company is a global leader in CO2 solutions and is an important player in relation to sustainability with a strong focus on efficiency and minimizing the CO2 footprint. The company applies the latest technologies within carbon capture and innovative use of CO2, and the corporation has both ambition and strength to spearhead this area.
You now have the opportunity to embark on this exciting journey as a project engineer. You will become part of a project team, that is responsible for projecting and designing tailored process solutions. The projects are characterised by high complexity, and the project teams always work closely with highly specialised and dedicated colleagues across the organisation – focusing on efficiency, quality, and reliable solutions.
Your tasks include:
You will report to the company's Mechanical Engineering Manager. The daily reporting line will be to the project manager and the other project team members. You also interface with specialists and other colleagues at Pentair Union Engineering locally and internationally, as well as with global customers.
Dedicated and project-oriented mechanical engineer
You have an educational background as a mechanical engineer and experience working in project teams executing large and complex projects – preferably relating to process plants. You have a great technical interest, and it is an advantage if you have specific experience with pressure equipment (PED 2014/68 / eu and ASME) and thermodynamic calculations from similar industries, eg, gas, refrigeration, powerplants etc.
Your working style is characterised by structure and attention to details, and you are good at finding solutions and driving projects forward. You thrive in an international environment, and you speak and write English at a professional level.

Therefore, it is essential that you are motivated by interdisciplinary and cross-organisational collaboration, and at the same time you are comfortable working independently and concentrated when the task calls for it.

- Preparation and equipping of P&I diagrams
- Dimensioning process equipment and preparing specifications for procurement, as well as documentation
- Providing feedback in relation to 3D plant design and carrying out design reviews
- Participation in project start-up meetings with customers
- Participation in HAZOP
- Coordination with the purchasing department and suppliers
