As a platform engineer you will be part of a team responsible for defining, developing and implementing integration solutions in our IT Landscape. You will work with development teams & stakeholders in various locations, such as Bangalore, Maidenhead (UK), Charlotte (US), Guangzhou (China), Manila (Philippines) and Copenhagen (Denmark).
The platform engineer is responsible for conducting analysis, designing, developing, documenting and implementing solutions and providing associated artifacts to ensure efficient and successful delivery of solutions that meet the business needs and ensures an efficient use of the platform.
As a platform engineer you will be part of a team performing the following tasks:
• Conduct analysis, develop requirements, design, develop and document integration solutions.
• Develop processes and define guidelines for efficient use of the platform and its capabilities.
• Collaborate with architects and/or analysts to understand requirements and designs, translating business requirements into detailed solution design and development specifications.
• Develop, test and deliver code, process flows, configurations and implementation specifications of high quality, ensuring business requirements are met and solution conforms to design and standards for platform.
• Participate in review of designs, code, configuration specifications and solution documentation ensuring it is according to the requirements, is of high quality and in accordance with guidelines and best practices.
• Participate in technical viability assessment and best practice solution design to meet business requirements
• Analyze health and performance of solutions. Recommend improvements as needed.
• Provide guidance to solution architects, integration engineers and support staff.
• Highlight risks and issues that may affect development, deliveries or platform.
• Assist in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with integration engineers, architects, software engineers, testers, analysts and vendor staff.
• Form strong and trusted relationship with the Product Owner; ensuring that the Product Owner is fully aware of the technical capabilities and limitations of product allowing for sensible technical investment and debt repayment decisions.
• Participate in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies related to integration solutions.
• Demonstrate interest in improving the company’s technical awareness, depth and use of integration technology across the business. Promote the Seeburger platform.
Must have
• 10+ years of experience with integration solutions
• Solid understanding of the architecture and capabilities of Seeburger (BIS)
• 5+ years of experience with Seeburger integration solutions
• 3+ years experience designing, developing and implementing integration processes in Seeburger
• Deep understanding of adapters and how they work.
• 3+ years of working experience with adapters and communication protocols

o SFTP Client and Server
o FTP Client and Server
o HTTP Client and Server
o ICAP
o JMS
• Experience with Keystore manager
o Certificate management
o Expiration monitoring
• Knowledge of System Variables
• Experience with advanced xpath expressions
• Experience with SeeXML (SeeLogistics)
• Control Center and Adapter Interactions
• Message Tracker and Profile Designer
• Experience with encryption and signatures
• Experience with Oracle database
o Permissions, synonyms, views
o Writing efficient SQL queries (cost analysis)
o Joins, indexing
• Java development skills and experience
• JSON and XML expertise, understanding schemas
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid experience performing trouble shooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and identifying solutions to problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
Advantage if
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with JMS, IBM MQ
• Experience with data transformation tools, such as Seeburger BIC and BIS
• Knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12 and EDIFACT)
• Experience designing and developing API/web services solutions (SOAP, REST); hosted services and clients

• DevOps experience
