To support this exciting endeavour, we are currently looking for Industrial Engineer to join our Industrial Automation platform team - based in Denmark
Being part of a fast growing, dynamic and impactful team, you, as an Industrial Engineer, will be entrusted with the unique opportunity to providing and contributing to automation solutions that meets the needs of the business and works well within the overall automation technology landscape. You draw from a deep and broad technical expertise as a process engineer, complete hands-on functional and technical work, and provide technical, operational and processes on complex automation technology issues in the company. While deploying your solid skills in automation engineering, product design and product deployment/delivery, you focus on being part of building and nurturing global cross functional relationships and make a difference on a local, regional, and global level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building automation solutions and services based on business and operational requirements, and automation industry best practices in a timely manner
- Responsible for conducting data analysis, automation feasibility assessment, operational flows mapping to develop automation solutions which are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable
- Responsible for finalizing BOM for H/W and S/W order; wherever applicable
- Contribute to technical project management including but not limited to solution design reviews, execution plan, scope, commercials, contractual deliverables – which may involve multiple business units/suppliers
- Support project deployment activities including but not limited to site readiness report preparation, preparing technical requirements documents for Industrial Infra for Wireless, Network, Compute and Storage etc
- Liaise with Solution Architecture team to ensure seamless integration between WMS, WES, WCS, and other platforms and to ensure that all business logics are built, integrated, and deployed
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities (new use-cases) in existing facilities, in own area of expertise (terminal/warehouse)
- Responsible for coordinating with engineering teams and external parties (integrators and system suppliers) to ensure automation solution integration and project completion within targets
- Support suppliers and vendors in developing and providing all relevant documentation for reviews and approvals
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to monitor system performance, KPI management and coordination with external suppliers to correct deviations and meet contractual deliverables
- Support terminals to implement pre-requisites (on-site and remotely both)
- Prepare documentation for presentation, review, and approval of the solution design (terminal-specific) to local and global stakeholders (Architecture, Infrastructure, IT Security for example) and support throughout the approval process
- Develop terminal-specific documentation for post go-live support and maintenance
Skills and Experience:
- A total of 5+ years of industrial automation industry experience with 2+ years of experience in designing the processes leading to ensure that products and solutions meet quality standards for ports, container terminals and warehouses
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in working with cross functional teams with a successful record of building relationships at local & regional level
- Experience in industrial process mapping, automation requirements for complex installations, automated equipment, Execution Systems and Equipment Control Systems.
- Having work experience in Industrial Automation and Control - PLC programming and exposure to SCADA.
- Desirable to have familiarity in working with Python programming language, C# and MySQL, Red hat Fuse and Linux admin and WINTEL (terminal automation)
- Experience in working in Industrial Environment is desirable
- Working experience in IPv4 Networking; wireless; enabling solutions like RFID, DGPS & Weighing Machines will be an added preference
- Experience in designing, building and integration of solutions which can be horizontally scalable, distributed, resilient, fault tolerant and monitored
- Expertise in modern logistics process, automation technology instrumentation and controls; operation data acquisition and safety systems; automation integration and automation control/execution systems
- Experienced in designing, pricing, and implementing warehouse automation solutions including automated sortation systems, PTLs, AGVs, AMRs, AS/RS systems amongst others (warehouse automation)
- Data analytics and problem-solving skills
- Experience with layout design platforms like AutoCad
- Good understanding of operation/functional KPI’s hereunder performance of equipment under circumstances of industrial environments
- The ability to continually identify solutions improvements and proactively work on the process and performance and act on stakeholder feedback.
- The ability to provide direction, support, and guidance for others hereunder mentor, code-review and contribute to product development
- Understanding automation industry trends and relevant innovations in solution delivery methods
- Excellent communication and cross-functional cooperation capabilities – a team player with positive Can-Do, result-oriented attitude. English and Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
- Experience with Information Security management - Maintain the data confidentiality & integrity and relevant compliance of information systems.
- Understand product lifecycle implementation of OT/Automation architecture solutions and associated industry (IT/OT) industrial automation standards (ISA95, ISA99…)
