We are seeking an Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Odense. Quadsat technology combines drone technology with an RF payload, enabling precise diagnostics and measuring of the radio spectrum anywhere in the world.
Description & Expectations
In this role you will design lightweight stabilized gimbal systems to ensure robust system operation even in challenging environmental conditions. Your key focus will be on enhancing and maturing the existing designs as well as engaging in new product development to meet new customer demands. Hence the role includes design optimization challenges as well as challenges related to choice of materials, cooling, and vibration dampening as well as inventing mechanisms for modularity and component reusability between different products. You will work alongside our RF, robotics, and electronics engineers in our mission to develop autonomous airborne test and measurement solution that enables precise diagnostics and monitoring of radio spectrum anywhere in the world.
We are looking for an experienced and driven team member, who is motivated to take the initiative in taking our product to the next level. Ideally, you have an eye for detail, take pride in your work and like to see your designs through manufacturing all the way to our users’ hands.

Knowledge and Skills
Our team currently use Fusion, however we are flexible to change if you master a different CAD software.
Furthermore, any experience within mechanical design optimized for weight and frequency response, kinematic chains (gimbal), or experience simulating mechanical stresses and mechanical vibrations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities
You will join our R&D team and bring your expertise to shape our next products and prototypes, as well as improving upon our existing designs.
In this role, you will:
- Design new prototypes & products for our gimbals, ground control station, and other HW in our solutions.
- Translate the design constraints from other specialties such as RF, robotics, and electronics into valid mechanical design solutions.
- Identify suitable manufacturing processes both for prototypes and for final products (procurement staff can assist you with this).
- Take ownership of the existing design library, improve and update existing designs and drawings.
- Engage in the direct communication with manufactures and supplies in collaboration with procurement staff.
- Implement feedback from internal and external users.
Knowledge and Skills
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role is expected.
- Practical experience in mechanical design for both subtractive and additive manufacturing (SLS, FDM etc.), composite moulding is a plus.
- Experience with product development.
- Preferably you have an educational background in Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- English is our company language, so fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.

Travel Demands
- Expected 10-20 travel days per year.
