Blue Ocean Robotics – a Robot Venture Factory in Odense, Denmark – develop and build mobile service robots within the health, hotel, construction and agriculture sector. For example the disinfection robot UVD Robots and the patient moving robot Multi-Tower. Blue Ocean Robotics supply all our venture companies, who are selling the service robots, with high quality robots on-time in a volume that is about to scale.
In connection with ramp-up of production of our mobile service robots and the implementation of a new production and sourcing strategy, we are looking for a Production Engineer with some years of experience, who can join a small but steadily growing Production and Sourcing team.
- The production engineer will be engaged with definition and planning of procurement routes constituting of internal and external assembly and fabrication processes applicable across a range of Blue Ocean Robotics service robots
- The production engineer will work closely with the product development teams and project managers for each product line to ensure design for manufacture and maintenance through the full value chain and product life cycle and stimulate to standardization and modularization of the design and the procurement platform
- The production engineer will conduct process flow definition, layout and technology selection for new production and refurbishment set-up and perform total cost and return on investment analysis for quantification of the optimal solutions
- The production engineer will drive definition and documentation of digitized Standard Operating Procedures for fabrication, assembly, test and integration, packing, maintenance and upgrade,
- The Production Engineer will in day to day operation drive continuous improvements of documentation, production, supplier performance and refurbishment flow and efficiency development following Lean principles and support procurement and production planning and resource optimization
As a Production Engineer in Blue Ocean Robotics, you will have a unique opportunity to influence product development, procurement and business development, and you will have a broad interface internally as well as with external contacts.The Purchaser will initially report to the VP of Production and position her/himself in a small but steadily growing Production and Sourcing team.
Your profile
We expect some years of experience and a proven track record as a production engineer from a relevant industry such as mechatronics, electrical equipment, apparatus, medical devices or vehicles or numerical machinery. We assume that you have a technical educational background with a focus on production engineering or logistics and some maintenance.
You have a profound understanding of value engineering and cost and resource management and a flair for digitalization. You know by heart the strength and weaknesses in different production principles and you master the commonly taught and used design, production, maintenance, planning and quality assurance tools.
You are familiar with modern MRP/ERP tools and you have a flair for application of IT tools for ensuring data connectivity, traceability, condition monitoring and reporting.
