Senior Mechanical Engineer

Dynaudio, the legendary Danish speaker maker, is looking for a new Sr. Mechanical Engineer to work at our HQ in Skanderborg.
About the job
In this role you participate in one or more project teams contributing with Mechanical construction work on cabinets, drivers and other Mechanical features. You give input to new product designs, materials, etc. from a mechanical point of view. Besides that you act as the Senior profession Engineer in the team.

We’re a team of 5 colleagues ensuring the mechanical design of the best speakers in the world. We each have our strengths and main responsibilities but we get nowhere without each other. We are a part of the R&D department in Dynaudio consisting of around 30 colleagues in Denmark and also colleagues in China. Everyone in Dynaudio is a part of the final product and we focus on cooperation and treating each other professionally.
About you
You hold a B.Sc. or an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 5 years’ experience with mechanical constructions, preferably from the design related industry or the audio industry.
Furthermore you have:
You are a team player with a good sense of humour and a skilled communicator.
English is our main company language, so you’ll need to be comfortably fluent in both writing and speaking it too.

In this role you participate in one or more project teams contributing with Mechanical construction work on cabinets, drivers and other Mechanical features. Other responsibilities include:
- Guiding and supporting other colleagues in the team
- Handling Engineering Change Requests on existing products
- Participating in conceptual work on prototype basis
- Providing input to the technology roadmap process
- Participating in improvement projects cross functionally

About you

- Experience in working with geometrical tolerances and tolerance chains (GPS etc.)
- Experience in Mechanical design processes.
- Experienced with CAD systems preferable CREO and /or Inventor.
- Experience in using PLM systems e.g. Windchill. (or ability to learn)
- Experience in /understanding of basic design of loudspeakers with focus on cabinets and the mechanical acoustic performance of different materials
- Knowledge within/understanding of Mechanical Material science is a clear advantage.
You are a team player with a good sense of humour and a skilled communicator.
