Skanderborg

Are you one of those rare breeds of engineers who find it equally thrilling to nerd out mechanics and support the commercial aspect of our job? Then you’ll be given a Dynaudio-evolving opportunity to help ‘translate’ our R&D for Automotive to our global high-end customers.

Ideally, your foundational knowledge within Mechanical Engineering in combination with your Marketing ingenuity form a tractor beam that pulls our customers closer to our sound systems for cars.

It sounds like sci-fi for hi-fi but it’s actually ‘just’ an intensified focus on cultivating the natural correlation between research/development, product customisation and commercial success.

As we’re simultaneously hiring a new Acoustical Engineer, who’ll be your counterpart and fellow liaison between the worlds of Engineering and Marketing, we’re adding another layer to our customer approach intended to take our business to a new level.

OUR VISION

We wish to enrich people’s lives through sound.

This means that every day 300 employees in Dynaudio worldwide work together to create incredible loudspeakers for homes, professional studios and custom-install set-ups as well as just as extraordinary sound systems for cars.

YOUR MISSION

As our new Mechanical Engineer focusing on Marketing, your mission is help create brand awareness and product understanding targeting our customers and partners - especially in Europe.

With your engineering prowess and communication skills you empower internal and external stakeholders with information at eye-level about Dynaudio’s technical advantages and development opportunities. Therefore, your main tasks are to:

  • Support our Global Marketing Manager (Automotive) with content for different media outlets.
  • Support our Business Development Director (Automotive) with presentation material aimed at customers and partners for the Automotive segment
  • Create animation works and illustrations of Dynaudio’s technical audio/auto features to support our entire Marketing department
  • Coordinate and follow up on partner/customer feedback to our Mechanical Engineering team.

YOUR COLLEAGUES

Our crucial work in R&D is divided into 2 categories adhering to our 4 segments: R&D: Consumer (Home, Pro and Custom Install) and R&D: Automotive. You’ll join the latter branch.

Together with our new Mechanical Engineer you’ll form a dedicated Auto/Marketing ‘team’ together with our Product Manager, our Global Marketing Manager, our Business Development Director, our Chief Sound Engineer and several other internal stakeholders.

Your immediate manager will be our Director of R&D: Automotive.

YOU: THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

You have a Bachelor’s degree (as a minimum) in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in the audio industry. It wouldn’t hurt if you’re a car aficionado either.

You’re a natural born visual communicator who enjoys conveying technically advanced material in a ‘language’ our external, non-technical stakeholders understand.

We expect you to have experience with the following IT features:

  • Catia V5, Solid Works, ProE or other 3D CAD software
  • 3D studio or other sketch/design/illustration software
  • Video recording/animation

English is our main company language, so you’ll need full professional proficiency. If you have professional German speaking proficiency, it’s a big plus!

WE OFFER

You’ll take on a highly influential and cooperative job in an international company based in the heart of the Jutlandic peninsula - a 20-minute drive from Aarhus.

You’ll work closely with skilled colleagues from all over the world representing expertise in different relevant fields, and you’ll get great professional and personal development opportunities; including the chance to influence the company’s development with your enthusiasm and input.

In our canteen we serve excellent and nutritious meals, and our staff club ensures lots of activities for those interested in participating in social events as part of their working experience at Dynaudio.

Salary is negotiated individually at a level that corresponds to the position requirements and your qualifications. You’ll have the flexibility to plan your day according to the tasks at hand.

OUR COMPANY

Dynaudio is one of the world's largest speaker manufacturers. Founded in 1977 in Skanderborg, Denmark, we have 45 years of experience in producing high-end speakers.

We pride ourselves on being audiophiles, innovators, and businesspeople; nerdy specialists, generalists, and everyone in between. All bound together by a common vision of creating the truest speaker sound possible.

In our organisation, we have arguably the brightest minds of high-end-speaker development and the nicest colleagues from all over the world. We have offices in Denmark, Germany, the UK, the US, and China, and we export Dynaudio products to 80 countries.

For almost 30 years we’ve been making sound systems for cars partnering up with companies such as Volvo, Volkswagen, Bugatti and XPeng in the process.

Since 2014, we’ve been part of Goertek, a world-class supplier of component parts and digital-era hardware.
