Søborg

Ready to kick-start your career in a position where you will get to use your knowledge of plastics to develop and optimise products that can help save lives?

Grab this opportunity to join a rapidly growing company, ready to invest in you. Here you will not only get to impact the development of our products, you will also have every opportunity to develop and grow your own skills.

Join an experienced team of experts

Ferrosan Medical Devices develops haemostatic products that are used worldwide to minimise bleeding during surgeries. Our products quite literally save lives, and now you will get to play an important part in the development of these products as you grow into the role of plastic and moulding specialist.

Joining us at our HQ in Søborg, you will become an integral part of the plastic team within Technology Innovation. Here you will work alongside 12-15 dedicated colleagues, who are always ready to share knowledge and help each other out.

"We like trying out new things and bouncing ideas of each other. It makes for a very creative work environment," explains Nis Chræmmer Jørgensen, VP Operations.

Design medical devices and help keep our production running

You will be working closely with the team’s 2 other plastic specialists, dividing your time between operational tasks, ensuring our production runs smoothly and participating in development projects.

More specifically, you will be spending a great deal of your time working closely with our subsuppliers of injection moulding components, handling any challenges or obstacles that may occurr during production. In addition, you will be participating in the design and development of new medical devices, e.g. for robotic and endoscopic surgery.

Doing so, you can look forward to:

  • Communicating with subsuppliers, ensuring that we are able to deliver and keep production running
  • Participating in project meetings and design workshops, cooperating with stakeholders across our organisation
  • Establishing and maintaining documentation packages, including archiving, preparing tolerance chain calculations and ensuring tolerance determinations
  • Implementing and documenting changes and improvements through our change control system
  • Running 3D modelling of prototypes, as well as creating "fixed prototyping" in 3D printing or the like
  • Preparing drawings used in the production

Off to a good start

It is our firm belief that our employees will thrive if we invest in their development, so here you are guaranteed plenty of opportunity to grow. But first, we will make sure that you are properly settled in your new role, offering you solid onboarding and thorough introduction to your new tasks as well as our industry.

"Because we produce a large number of our products at our HQ in Søborg, you will have the chance to see your ideas actually come to life as viable products that can help save lives," Nis finishes.

Recent graduate and eager to learn

You have a keen eye for detail, enabling you to ensure that our documentation is up to date. At the same time, you love the creative process, and you know what it takes to create quality design that meets the customers’ needs.

Mastering the art of communication, you create results through constructive collaboration and knowledge sharing with both external suppliers and your colleagues across the organisation.

Also, we imagine that you:

  • Are a recent graduate in engineering – ideally within plastics
  • Know how to create 3D models of all types of items
  • Have knowledge of injection moulding
  • Enjoy solving problems based on Lean principles
  • Are ready to travel approx. 15 days a year – primarily within Europe, where you will get to meet suppliers and partners within the industry
  • Have a work and residence permit in the EU
