Randstad is looking for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer for SaltPower. SaltPower is a fast-growing company developing green technology for producing energy. SaltPower has managed to further develop an idea of producing clean, CO2-free, predictable energy through osmosis by mixing water and salt water through a semi-permeable membrane. The technology has surpassed offshore wind energy as a faster and cheaper way to reduce the world’s carbon footprint.
SaltPower will grow from six to 12 people in 2021, and you will become part of a team of highly specialized professionals developing the next leap in green energy.
You will be responsible for the development of various mechanical solutions and modules. You will work interdisciplinary, and ultimately you will be responsible for designing and constructing skid mounted turnkey solutions. Your work could include:
- Writing requirement specifications and sourcing the required material
- Designing, developing and testing mechanical components and solutions
- Creating a systematic structure in CAD
- Considering alternative materials
- Designing and dimensioning of piping/spools
In the future, you will have the possibility to take on the responsibility as platform owner on the mechanical parts.
You are eager to contribute to the production of CO2-free, predictable energy and thereby contribute to the green transition. You want to change the future of energy and be a key team member, in a team that are first-movers in a new era of energy.
You have a background as a Mechanical Engineer, and you are hands-on and practical in your designs. In short, you:
- Are an experienced mechanical engineer
- Have experience in designing and developing mechanical solutions
- Have experience with the Machine Directory and AD2000
- Have technical knowledge within pressurized equipment and design
- Are someone who wants to change the world
It is essential, that you have a practical “can-do attitude” when handling challenges. You will take part in completing tasks outside of your expertise, and it is your second nature to help your colleagues. You are comfortable balancing between starting up and finishing processes, and you are proactive in acquiring new assignments.
