Internal Project Manager - Construction Specialist
Are you interested in offshore windfarm construction? Are you a good communicator who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders?
We are looking for an energized IT savvy internal project manager to join our dynamic and influential team here in Vejle. You will be working with our site teams, marine operation specialists, logistic specialists, equipment specialists, safety experts and project management employees to drive and manage improvement projects. Our team governs the construction standard baseline used to plan and execute our offshore construction activities which we are looking to continually improve. Maintaining a focus on a culture of collaboration and efficiency our goal is to support standardization and cost performance improvements that will ensure ongoing global success and growth of offshore windfarm construction.
About the role
As an Internal Project Manager - Construction Specialist you will be working to support the construction of offshore wind farm projects across the globe. Together with the team you will be delivering standardization improvements to construction processes, equipment and project cost performance.
You will be managing internal improvement projects with 1-2 projects in parallel depending on size and complexity. You will be continuously maintaining and implementing standards in windfarm construction projects, where you will be reporting regular progress and forecasts to management and other teams. Projects will vary in size and duration and will require that you operate in a structured and transparent manner while remaining dynamic and ready to adjust to changing business priorities if required. Although having a predominantly back office role, your projects will require that you travel to various global sites and offices to ensure implementation success. Our new internal Project Manager – Construction Specialist you will report to Head of Construction Standards.
About you
You have project management experience and/or relevant university/professional qualifications. Field operations experience is considered an advantage (e.g. Turbine Assembly, Habour set-up, Marine Operations, Construction logistics or Safe work systems). It is also a plus, if you have experience with implementation of IT systems or process change.
As a person you are friendly and feel comfortable in culturally diverse teams. You are independent and drive towards new challenges. You work with a structured and organized approach to complete tasks before deadline. Additionally, you have excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
It is very important that you have the willingness and desire to travel approximately 20% of the time.
