Automation Engineer, Power-to-X

Your new team

You will be part of our growing PtX department which consists of 40 dedicated colleagues. We are currently working on several utility-scale projects in Denmark as well as North and South America. As Automation Engineer you will have an important role and get the chance to work with some of the biggest PtX plants in an innovative department.

Your new role

In this position, you will find yourself in an environment with a big variation of interesting tasks with design, configuration, and development of automation solutions to our PtX projects. You will have a close dialogue with subcontractors as well as internal stakeholders to make sure that the automation packages are matching the project requirements.

You can look forward to working on the following tasks:

• Planning, scheduling, and executing instrumentation and automation-relatedrelated activities for PtX projects.
• Specification of detailed designs for control and visualization systems.
• Performing/supervising engineering deliveries, such as functional control descriptions, diagrams, layouts, and datasheets relevant to instrumentation and control system packages.
• Specifying signal exchanges such as I/O lists and communication systems.
• Evaluation of instrumentation and automation engineering needs of a project and developing an outline scope of work required to complete it.
• Ensuring that the control system is designed according to C&E, Hazops, safety, and actual process requirements.
• Making sure that design and documentation of control systems and instrumentation are according to BAT and international standards.
• Conducting FAT and SAT of instrumentation, SCADA, and control systems.

Job prerequisites

• You have a Master’s Degree in automation engineering.
• Min. 7 years of experience with automation engineering from one of the following industries petrochemical, processing plant, or power generation plant.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Work experience with EcoStruxure Control Expert or Simatic Step 7 (TIA Portal) as well as plant network and cyber security is a plus.
• You have very good oral and written communication skills in Danish and English.

You are an efficient, organized, and results-oriented person with a solid problem-solving mindset. It is important that you have good structural skills and can keep the overview while working in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with high complexity.
