What is the job about?

As Lead Engineer Mechanics and Open Innovation in Group AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering), you will be anchoring the manufacturing technology scouting from colleagues and partners. Furthermore, you will be responsible for processing inputs into themes, ideas, and technology development projects focusing on our future manufacturing processes and materials. Your daily work will be balanced between technology development projects and high-level innovation.

Your main responsibilities include:

Developing and facilitating collaboration with relevant universities and technical partners.
Managing balanced project portfolio aligned with strategic themes a.o.
Supporting and collaborating with the scouting function in [xxxxx] AME.
Input to Tech Foresight and tech strategy as part of our innovation operating model.
Giving input to technology road maps for future manufacturing activities.
Building and maintaining a network of collaboration partners for scouting and knowledge partners externally and internally in [xxxxx].
Supporting and participating in the strategic technology planning process.
Managing and steering specific technology activities and projects.
Staying updated on new technologies and materials.
Monitor technological development within the professional area through networks, training, literature, exhibitions, and conferences.

Your background

You have an innovative and academic mindset and the ability to convert innovation into industrialized solutions in manufacturing and materials. Furthermore, you are proactive and enjoy working with different internal and external stakeholders.

We imagine that you have:

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within a large technical organization.
M.Sc. in Engineering; relevant PhD would be considered an asset.
Experience in scouting processes within manufacturing processes and materials.
Proven record of university collaborations for e.g. research projects.
Familiar with relevant IT tools.
English language required, high level written and spoken.
